So being the history geek I am I ordered this movie about the British abolition movement from Netflix. But they messed up and sent me another film with the
same title ("Amazing Grace"). It had Moms Mabley and Steppin Fetchit and Butterfly McQueen. Total camp. But I didn't watch it b/c I
couldn't understand a word Moms Mabley said, it sounded like she'd been smoking cigarettes for 100 years and her dentures weren't in all the way.

This is an older movie about a Mayor or somethin' like that.
Takes place in VA? MD? Sort of funny |

Here's another little historical tidbit you might not be aware of, Yuck. The Chinese invented gunpowder.
Crazy I know. |
