75% is way too low. That means you think that 25% of all Muslims want Americans dead (including American Muslims), and that is just absurd.
The idea of prohibiting Muslims to serve in the military is unthinkable and THAT goes against our foundations. I realize you're not from the U.S. but Canada's close enough to follow similar ideals, I thought. |

You cannot keep someone out of the military because of their religion. Period. That is how it works here. To start doing that would be against all our
principles and civil liberties, not to mention the U.S. would be shooting itself in the foot by refusing to accept Muslim Americans who can be good soldiers
and in particular, Arabic-speakers who are highly valuable as translators.

could make an argument that the same goes for muslims in the military.

It has worked for others.
He got his medical education, his internship, his MONEY, his personal HEALTHCARE, the freedom to practice his religion...all that he got from the US Military. He got harrassed for being Muslim? BOO FUCKING HOO!! As an officer, I'm sure he had avenues of recourse that would have put quit to that in a quick hurry! I think this guy was terrified of being deployed...for the FIRST TIME IN HIS CAREER...and took out his fear on defenseless, trusting young men and women in a place where they should have felt safe. May he rot in the deepest, darkest pits of hell. |
