I honestly think the cast is horrendous and the editing is even worse. Knowing that I have the Aitu 4 to look forward to is making me cringe just thinking about it. Honestly, one of the worst seasons ever. Post mutiny game play is almost interesting, but mostly just annoying/irritating.

I like all the seasons on some level, but Cook Islands was terrible from a format POV. It's when Survivor gave up the pretense of being about adventure or social dynamics, and it became purely a game show. Ugh.

The HII was still pretty fresh then, so to see it executed in an unusual way was fantastic. I loved the characters, personally.

Better to see Cooks as a latter-day Outback, with a nice strategist and hadsome challenge whore dominating the endgame. Sucks isn't as into Colby as casual fans are either. Cooks is also the Prequel to Micronesia, the best season ever. 3/5 Fave Stars were from Micronesia. Ozzy overshadowed James, Parv overshadowed Amanda, and Jonathan overshadowed Yau-man. The whole Couples vs JAYE storyline was a continution of Jonathan's feud with Parvati. Then the Raro Queen lead a successful Mutiny against Ozzy, and got her revenge on the HII.

This. Part of the reason that Fiji will always win out over Cook Islands for me is the fact that it had a pretty solid post-merge, short though it was. Cook Islands' reverse Pagonging just couldn't compare, especially with such bland people like the Aitu 4 in power. The pre-merges of both seasons were both horrendously dull, and Fiji's was worse due to the luxury camp twist. However, pretty much every pre-merge boot in Fiji was extremely boring (Jessica, Erica, Gary, Liliana, Rita), or unlikable (Anthony, Rocky, Lisi). Only Sylvia and Michelle were people who I thought should have lasted longer than they did. Other than that, the F9 really did consist of the most likable people and the most interesting players. Even UTR girls Stacy and Cassandra had their bitchy/sassy moments (the scene where they spied on Alex and Mookie is one of my all-time faves). And Cassandra was definitely more of a player than Sunda and Becky combined. As much as the rest of the season sucked, Fiji had one of my favorite F5's to come along in awhile.

From the mutiny on it was too predictable and the people left got more boring and more boring which was probably why Parv and Adam were my favorites because they were x factors in the equation and couldve stirred things up.
