For now, I bet we'll get "Maybe then the bird won't fly into the window"/"I think the bird would just fly into another window." in the next episode about fate.

All we need is a snappy quote that can be repeated in the Previously Ons.

Okay, I looked through some old threads and didn't see this here. On another forum, I read a really good theory on what's going on here.
The event that caused the FFs happened not on 10/6, but rather on 4/29. Life was going along perfectly normally until then, and then SimOnCoe and possibly others did something on 4/29 that caused the entire world to be reset to 10/6, including the memories of those alive. Except, let's say the button was pushed at 10:00:00 PM exactly; it took until 10:02:17 PM for that to actually happen, which meant that the event ignored those 2 minutes and 17 seconds, and the reset people could still remember their final moments in "that life". Things that support this: 1. The President's FF. "Something is happening." Somehow, someone was able to detect the event and contact the White House (and possibly other world leaders, hence the pact). 2. Mark's FF: the board's calendar has the phrase D-DAY written on April 29th, which is used to denote the day on which a combat attack or operation is to be initiated in the military. Of course there are gaping holes in this theory, Suspect Zero being a large one, but I rather like it. |

(Unless they are stuck in a loop and have been through the loop before and didn't remember it). But first time going back they should only have memories of that time before they knew it was an event.. The Pres' FF is probably the new Veep doing a coup..... |

That was an amazing episode... best one so far for the season I think... It's sad that they killed the guy though, he was a great actor and one of the more
interesting characters on the show.. to me atleast... Ah well hopefully the show keeps it up.

You can't kill baby Hitler.Awww....the baby Hitler theory! I had forgotten about that. I miss LOST. ETA so I'm not too off topic...I liked this episode and can totally see people who think they have no future getting antsy and crazy. I really wanna see Charlie's FF. We know she sees Dylan and tells him its his house too...How did this lead to her saying that there are no more good days?

Misterpuff wrote:Perhaps, but that is assuming that the board would not exist in 6 months time WITHOUT the FFs. I don't think they are stuck in the loop. I find it far more improbable that everyone else in the world was ignoring that it was the FF time/date and just doing their normal thing, than that Mark was investigating an attack he didn't understand that turned out to be the FFs. Nothing on the board says anything about a Flash Forward itself. What actually supports that idea is that the woman that Dem and Mark were trailing when the GBO happened appears to be related to the FFs, or at least to have some information about them. If the FFs had not happened, perhaps that case would've become more and more complicated, and this board would have been created to keep track of it. This still has the hole of the Blue Hand Group (since they are, at this point in time, made up entirely of people who were affected by the FFs), but now that I think of it, I find that gaping hole easier to deal with than the contradiction between Mark and everyone else's FF. In his, he is aware of the FFs. In everyone else's, they seem oblivious. |

Has Lost taught us nothing? You can't change the past. You can't kill baby Hitler. The scary thing about being a Lost junkie is I almost believe that. And I almost believe in the island, smoke monsters, ghosts, time travel, and that I was once touched by Jacob. ; ) But this show isn't Lost. Thought I'd throw that out there before someone starts screaming at us. thefrenchchick!! Good to see you! |

Just watched the episode. My thoughts and feelings:
-Been saying this every week, but, Demetri Noh (the asian FBI agent) is the bad guy. And he was none-too-pleased that he was included in his fiancee's future vision. I fully suspect Noh will kill her, so he'll be able to work off-grid to set-up the big season-ending reveal. -That Iraq sequence looked like it was shot in the Hollywood hills by high-schoolers. Convincing! -Let's write the random black dude off the show in a completely head-scratching and meaningless way. And let's be as soapy as possible about it. |

Hey Felicia! What can I say, I have a weakness for leading men with hero complexes, drinking problems, and puppy dog eyes!

Ick. I can't stand Shatner. I love "Jears".. but you think Mark is hammy and over-emotes?

Mark actually acts a lot like a couple of generally over the top recovering alcoholics I know.
Debatable whether or not that portrayal is intentional though, since the only other thing I've seen him in he was also doing the over the top thing. |

Have they explained why the people who have no flash forwards assume they're going to die, and not just be taking a nap?

I haven't seen an explanation for them yet either. Anybody?

Not really, not that I can think of. Maybe the website is tying people together and they're getting some kind of confirmation from that.
Demetri assumed he would be dead because his future was blank. Then that lady died in the D. Gibbons episode, the officer who had no flash and he had a phone call from that lady saying he dies in March. Wait, did she say she saw him die or someone else saw him die? I thought ALL flash-forwards were to the same date in April? How would someone know he gets shot and dies in March... |

She was reading a report that stated he died on March 15th. Murdered.

Minutes before the black guy jumped off the roof, hubby and I had just had a discussion about how he is a better actor than Fiennes and Demetri in this. RIP.
