Culture Club is one of those bands where the videos are my main memories of the songs, although the videos are generally quite good. My favorites are
"Time" and "I'll Tumble 4 Ya". The latter because they show a lot of the blonde guy (who was probably the cutest guy in the band) and
his goofy but nice dancing, and because that video only confirms my belief that Cat from Red Dwarf was a member of the band. And then there's the brunette,
Jon, dressed in horrible blue overalls, smiling cheekily, doing very bad dancing. You can see why Boy George was so crazy in love with him.
And then "Church of the Poison Mind", which I remember more for that woman backup singer they had who could belt the hell out of anything. |

frautardz wrote: yeah so far no one has sold like gangbusters with their new songs. I'll be interested to see what happens with FYE when they actually advertise that it's available because so far there is nothing to indicate that the song is even on itunes and for the first three days that it was available itunes was completely fucked up and had the song listed under albums instead of singles..... meanwhile on Amazon the song is #20 and has an ad showcasing it. Also the song was available for download on Adam's official site for four days before it went on sale on amazon or itunes so I'm guessing most of the hardcore fans bought it through his site. It would be kind of comical if all of them were epic failures since most people agree that AI jumped the shark this past season. Boy George is a douche and ties up his stinky fans. It only counts if people think Adam is a douche cg.... everyone else is allowed to be a douche and it's okay

The fact that none of the music is selling both proves the sucktitude of the songs and of S8.

So either the song is really bad (which it is) or he's not as popular as they are trying to make him out to be or both. And then Kris is getting practically no promotion at all. I'll be curious to see how Allison ends up doing since they are pushing her into the tweenie market.

Adam will probably do extremely well outside the U.S. but it might be a different story here.... |

Where are the Amazon sales figures? Or the other sites, like Lambert was selling off of his website, that didn't go through Itunes did it?
I'd be curious to see the other figures as well. REgardless Allison's single sucked balls it dropped off the top 100 in a matter of days and didn't even make it that far. Makes you wonder if these are their best singles, how crappy are all the other ones? |

No the sales through Adam's site did not go through itunes, and in fact if you bought the Collector's Edition CD you got the single download included in that purchase. What I find curious is that S8 was apparently the lowest rated season yet it had the most votes ever... where did all the voters come from?? because clearly something screwy is happening when you do a vote to sale comparison.... |
