Nope not genital, I got two on my foot and its disgusting. How do you get rid of these buggers? I went to the dermotologist and he froze them off, went once a
month. Six months later they are still here. Anyone have any remedies to help me out?

I had something like that on my big toe about 12 years back, the GP would freeze them and after the toe healed up there would be more of them than before the
freezing. The Dermatologist diagnosed it as a colony wart and really got aggressive with the freezing, he didn't just freeze the area of the wart(s) he
froze all around them too.
Took several visits and a couple of months, but he killed the suckers and they haven't returned. Sounds like you need a more aggressive Dermatologist. |

The only solution is to amputate your foot.

Apple Cider Vinegar. Has to be unfiltered.
Soak a cotton ball of the stuff then tape it to your foot overnight. It smells, but by morning they should be looking red and inflamed OR black. If they are red, do it again the next night until they turn black, they'll scab over after that. I know this sounds like an old wives tale, but I get warts from time to time due to the martial art I do and this stuff is a) painless and b) as effective as cryo. |

WTF? I was just in OSTS and posting and then it redirects me to here?
I swear I was just in the SNL thread and posting a response, although a post about Taylor Lautner in the warts thread is kinda funny. |

stick a piece of duct tape on it. for really.
my son's pediatrician froze one on his foot. but he advised it still may take months for all of it to surface and slough off, so he said what is proven to work best in conjunction with freezing is to put a piece of duct tape right over it as soon as we got home. it was all gone within the end of the week. http://www.ehow.com/how_2098278_remove-plantar-warts-duct-tape.html?ref=fuel&utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=ssp&utm_campaign=yssp_art |

Vile.
Never had a wart. And I am OLD. You'd think it would have happened to me at some point. But, no. December is National Wart Awareness Month. We should hold off the rest of the conversation until then. |

This thread makes me wanna barf. And there hasn't even been a smartass who posted a really gross picture yet, so that says a lot.

You're supposed to get someone to piss on it.
This might get a bit expensive. |

I had one of my thumb or something once, I forget. You know that fleshy part between your thumb and index finger? There.
There were these medicated pads I found in CVS, it took a month but they worked okay. My doctor is a wussy and didn't wanna freeze them cuz they weren't on my feet. |

nursie wrote:Just took my 9th grade son to the dr. last week for a gigantic plantar's wart on his big toe. He froze it (for about 15 minutes total, yuck) and told us to do the duct tape treatment. He said 6 1/2 days covered, and 1/2 day uncovered. After three days of being covered it's looking really hideously nasty and white like a big dead wet scab but I hope it works. |

I've heard the vinegar thing, and the duct tape thing. My son has two of them on his foot, and we've taken him to the Dr for freezing, but it hurt so
damn much he is terrified to go back to have it done again. I'm looking for ideas too.

When I was in middle school, freezing didn't do anything to the warts on my feet. They had to be injected with something that BURNED like hell, but it took
care of them in one shot.

Depends on where the wart is. if it's on the bottom of the feet it could be planters wart and you can treat those at home {it's a virus} use Dr
Scholl's Clear Away One Step Plantar Wart Remover If it's on top they sell the freeze away can in stores
Duct Tape for the Treatment of Common Warts in Adults A Double-blind Randomized Controlled Trial Conclusion We found no statistically significant difference between duct tape and moleskin for the treatment of warts in an adult population. http://archderm.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/abstract/143/3/309 |

Someone here had a couple warts on his foot, and we tried some kind of over-the-counter stuff for one of them and put nothing on the other one. They
eventually went away at about the same time.
