There's a new commercial for Sony with Justin Timberlake, the football player, and two "cast" members from 'Cloudy With A Chance Of
Meatballs'. I LOVED it!

Those poor children. 2009 Mad Men want to portray every single husband/father as a sap? Fine. They've been doing that since the 80's. But now they're turning their fire on little chirrens? At least we still have the Coors Light commercials. |

And since his passing, the spots with the great professorial Bill Walsh have disappeared from YouTube, but follow this linkie: http://ballhype.com/video/coors_light_bill_walsh_fake_press_conference_ad_1/ |

I can't find it on Youtube but I just saw a commercial for Ambien and they said the possible side effects included hallucinations, dependency, depression,
suicidal thoughts and throat swelling which in some cases could be fatal......NOT. FUCKING. KIDDING. YOU.
But hey, you get a good night's sleep. |

Ambien...worth the risks. Period. For me anyway. :-)
If you knew the risks of most medicine you'd be shocked. You need to weigh the risks over the benefits. And going without sleep for days at a time could just as easily kill you. Besides, the advertisers are required by law to list all the known possible side effects even if they are minute. |

True.
If you need a prescription sleep aid, go with Lunesta, the one with the ads with the green butterfly floating about. I hear really strange Ambien stories -- people getting out of bed and driving to a closed grocery store with no memory of it, etc. For me: a half Lunesta, lights out, and no downside the next morning. Anyhow: loving the new spots touting Windows 7 where the have "recreations" of people realizing a problem with their PC's and writing in to Microsoft. Watch closely. HATING the Miller Light spots where psycho girlfriend peppers boyfriend with questions like if me and my mother were hanging off of a cliff, who would you save? Is it usual for people who drink light beer to have psycho girlfriends? |

Lunesta is like taking a Tylenol for me. Sometimes I have to take 2 Ambien. I have the constitution of a gorrilla.
My mom sleep grazes on it though. She gets up & eats then goes back to bed forgetting she ate. BTW, Lunesta has the same side effects. |

Then I've got the constitution of a sparrow, and I'm male.
Not disparaging Ambien, btw, I've never had one. Two full Lunestas would have me doing a Rip van Winkle thingie. But here is a thread in which we disparage advertisments. So if anyone wants to target pharmaceutical ads that they hate, let's have a mini thread. To kick things off, is anyone tired of constantly being reminded that when you get old, you can't: A) have sex B) have hair, and especially C) pee? We boys are happy to put up with feminine care prodcut ads; I can't imagine what you non-XY megababes must think about the above. |

^ There's this one Viagra ad that always comes on during football. It shows this guy walking down the sidewalk outside of a building and his reflection in
the windows asks him if he's going to talk to the doctor about "our erectile dysfunction." Later the guy apparently does talk to the doctor and
when he walks out of the doctor's office, he high fives his reflection. Even better, he later takes his lady love to a restaurant where they are seated -
of course - next to a window, prompting him to give his reflection the self-satisfied, "fuck yeah man" head nod.
It's priceless. |

Pharna ads are illegal in Canada so we only have the pleasure of seeing them on your news channels/channels that aren't simulcasting the current show. But
the one I really hate is the Symbicort ad. It is the one with the black silowette walking around talking about how the drug lets her breath better. Whenever it
is on I can't help but wonder what happened that made the company decide to black out the actor and whether or not she got jipped on payment becasue they
didn't use her likness.
Though it is funny that although this drug is for asthmatics, one of the side effects in asthma-related deaths. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NmLpMTTipT8 |

I would think younger men should be relieved for their female counterparts to see those "can't pee" ads. It helps prepare them for the
inevitable. That way women won't be shocked when their men suddenly start dashing off to the toilet, stay in there forever & come back looking
disappointed. At least the women will know it's nothing they did. And they'll kick the men's asses till they go to see their docs for BPH
treatment.
So, it's all good. But what pisses me off royally is that Viagra is given out like candy for floppy dicks & insurance gladly pays for it yet women's birth control pills aren't covered, even if they're taken for medical reasons. |

What scares me Fluffy, is men my age whom I meet who slyly tell me "I've got some Viagra" (or Levitra, or whatever) and act like I should be
thrilled. Actually, considering the creepy way these guys say it makes me instantly run in another direction! That's all I need is some creep who lasts
for hours and thinks I'm loving every minute of it. Spare me!!!

I don't know if it's been mentioned. It's been awhile for awhile, but I hate the ad for the toilet (kohler?) that can flush anything.
The boyfriend/husband steps out and notices a hot plumber going in next door so he runs in and tries to plug his crapper up with no luck. As he's dumping a huge bag of dogfood down, his girlfriend/wife walks by. So stupid. |

Hate this new travel service called kayak.com. Fucking hate this grandfather one where "his finest hour" is getting drunk and having sex with random
chicks in Cancun, all the while making the viewer think he's reliving through World War II.

I kinda like that one.
Cancun: "We stormed that beach like it was ours." Fun juxtaposition, but still -- when that old coot was in his youth, Cancun didn't exist. Anybody seeing the Droid ads with superduper stealth bombers whacking random places in the countryside with missiles? Odd to say the least. ETA: 4000 advertisements trashed!
