You people are so mean! Ryan Star(r) is a woman now. You should be referring to her as "she".

I miss this show- so much better than Idol. Aerosmith or not, I wish it would come back in some form. After hearing "Pretty Vegas" for the first time
in ages, I added the first season to my Netflix queue. Probably will never actually get around to watching it, but it's there just in case. I was a bit
disappointed that Queen were so interested in Lambert after the last season of Idol- I was still holding a bit of hope they'd do a RS season 3 with them.

There's only 2 original members in Queen now, Brian May and Roger Taylor. John Deacon never came back when Freddie died.

Rock Star Aerosmith would be groovy, all the guys are pretty old so the winner probably won't have to be tied up to them too long.
I miss this show so much! It changed my life in a small way and ruined me on American Idol for a couple of years, I was only just able to get back into it this past season. I just recently was able to get all the RSSN episodes (performance and web) from a pal and have been on a nostalgia trip watching them back. |

It will never be as amazing as Rock Star:INXS was. Unless, of course, Marty Casey returns.

I miss this show so much. I remember that awesome summer that both this and Big Brother each aired 3 nights a week. I never had to leave the couch!

Aerosmith not breaking up
REUTERS NEW YORK - Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler joined Joe Perry on stage in New York to set the record straight about the future of the feuding rock group. "New York, I want you to know I'm not leaving Aerosmith," Tyler told fans in a surprise appearance on Tuesday night at a concert by Perry's solo side project, music Web site NME.com reported. Tyler, 61 and Perry, his songwriting partner of 40 years, then launched into a version of "Walk This Way", one of Aerosmith's biggest hits, NME.com said. The future of the band has been in doubt since a North American tour was cut short in August when Tyler fell off stage, and relations between Perry and Tyler deteriorated to a low this week with bitter Twitter messages and cryptic asides about whether Tyler is still with the band. Tyler told celebrity web site TMZ.com after Tuesday's appearance that "There is absolutely no validity to the rumor that Aerosmith is breaking up." Perry said of Tyler's appearance at his concert. "He just couldn't stay away." Asked about rumors the band was breaking up, Perry told TMZ.com: "None of that's true." |

You beat me to it McWolcott. Upp, well there goes that idea! It was all probably just a publicity stunt.

Kind of a shame, since I'd have loved a Rock Star: Aerosmith, but as an Aerosmith fan I'm not too torn up about it.
Still, why don't they just pull a season 2 and make up another fake band for the contestants to compete for? Or just do INXS again since JD left? And if CBS doesn't want it, surely VH1 would do it. They've been looking for more reality programming to get away from their trashy dating shows stigma, and why not do something that actually has something to do with music? |

I remember a poster suggesting this show just become Rockstar where it would be like American Idol, only with contestants that rock sing instead. I would love
to see this show back on the air as I too loved this show.

I agree they should do another Rock Star: INXS, but make it clear that the winner only gets to tour with INXS for a year so then they could have another season
again the next year. Or they could have Tommy Lee and friends back for another Supernova season since that band doesn't even exist anymore. Or they could
compete to tour with the House Band.
I read an interview from a few years ago that said Mark Burnett wanted to do another season but there were no bands who wanted to do it. |

Then they just need to use the house band, or even just a band that they would pick behind the scenes. (Let's face it, America won't watch battle of
the drummers) They can just get the band ready and then audition a set of singers.

That house band was awesome. I'd love if they just auditioned a singer for them for a temporary gig since they all have other projects anyway.
As for Aerosmith, I like them together too much to wish they would do the show. Thank God they aren't breaking up. |

Or find a backup band for Dilana!

Dilana was ok, but I stopped liking her as much toward the end. I feel like Storm and Magni would be the best leads simply because of their versatility and
their raw talent.
Also, Steven Tyler is Aerosmith, it wouldn't work with someone else. |
