I'd rather Carrie sing TH as a second performance.
I wonder if Taylor opening then having another song near the female vocalist is a 'hint'.......hum.. well, I just don't get that one for her. Again, ANY other award I won't deny her but just not vocalist |

Honestly, Taylor Swift may be the worst singer to win that Female Vocalist category. Any of the other four would have made a better winner. I could understand
why Carrie lost (not her biggest year, maybe they did not want to give her four in a row like Reba), but she actually sings. Eek.

Maybe next year songs like TH will get Carrie some noms and back to the top spot. Then again she never has left the top spot for me. I feel worse for Miranda losing it to Taylor. No meltdown here for me. It's so obvious who can sing the best and it's not Taylor. She has the award though so props for having such a huge following.

Taylor lips half her performances. true vocalist right there.... can't remember who the other nominee was, but Carrie, Miranda, and Reba are all so much
more deserving than Taylor, sweet as she is. it just makes the awards a fuckin joke, and i'm not happy.

Lets be reasonable. Vocalist simply stands for singer. No where in the award title does it say best. It's simply female singer of the year. It's implied that the award is for the best female singer but best is subjective. so 6000 people picked Taylor as best female vocalist... I don't see why quickstart is trying to justify this decision, as I can assure you that no sane person considers Taylor a better vocalist than any of the other nominees. |
