My mom and I got in a really bad car accident when I was 8, and she was fine...I've been in the chair ever since. But I want to be very clear, I still
have the use of my penis.

DO YOU STILL HAVE THE USE OF YOUR PENIS, TOO, BOBRO?
Oh, and DAMN YOU SUE SYLVESTER for making this young, not-fat, masculine gay guy cry tonight. Well, not "Cry" ... but t.ear up and that whole throat thing and all ... okay, so ONE t.ear dropped down my cheek - SUE ME. (no pun intended) |

I'll admit to being on the fence about this show for its entire existence, but tonight I fell in love with it.

Okay, all the love here is making me want to rewatch and see if this ep grows on me.
I really should just rewatch for the Brittany moments anyway. "Brittany's always cheating off her tests in math class."

This was the worst episode BY FAR for most of the hour. It was disjointed at best, and the motivations were all so unclear. Then to have that uber-cheesy
Avatar commercial (scared of that video game... errr...movie) in the middle of it. Then, something weird happened and it became really touching AND shed new
light on several of the characters. WTF. I was about to write off the show entirely for forty minutes or so. Then suddenly it became pretty deep.
WTF. Unexpected. Preachy indded and corny; but it somehow moved me, and almost erased the oddness of a lot of the hour. |

Yeah....not a fan of that episode
My fave part was Brittany not knowing her right from her left...and still keeping her hand up. And I'm sad the stutter was fake |

cginspace wrote:I completely agree with this post. I am floored at the overwhelming love for this episode...and maybe it's just because Glee's been gone for the past 3 weeks, but yeesh. This episode was super annoying and soap opera-ish...I did fully enjoy Sue's storyline tonight, but I was expecting something to happen with Will. Ya know, he crosses the line by trying to catch Sue in some devious act...but nothing....No payoff at all. And Global GUTS dad was cool and all, but he certainly didn't give a mind-blowing performance. And sadly I find Wheels mostly annoying...He overreacted with Tina and her lisp, and "Dancing with Myself" was awful... All in all I feel like a huge Debbie Downer, but this episode did not do it for me at all...And I am almost completely indifferent as to what happens with Rachel-Puck-Finn-Quinn...all that romance-y garbage drags the show down. Bring back the satire and the quick snappy lines...I miss old Glee already... |

I think all these story lines in ONE episode made it Over The Top sappy or After School Special-like. It would have been more Glee-like to split them up over
multiple episodes. I LOVED Kurt's the most, for obvious reasons. Now that they've blown their wad and everyone is wet and sticky, I hope there's
enough baby wipes to go around and the show gets back to having more grit like it used to have.
Oh, the baby thing needs to end NOW!!! |

I thought this episode was pretty awesome. I think everything was handled very well. There was PC and non-PC. (Using Pot to help raise money for the bake sale
and then stealing said money. And the biggest thing, Finn pretending to be handicapped to get a job.. that's SO wrong.)
I think Artie will end up forgiving Tina if she comes clean to everyone, which she probably will. And it makes sense because her stutter did seem to come and go in a wierd manner.. like she only remembered to stutter when someone brought it up. It was awesome to have a big number that was NOT led by Rachel/Finn. "Big Wheel" has to be one of my favorite all time songs and I loved this interpretation. My favorite moment had to be Rachel hitting the door frame on her storm out. I don't think Sue was half as harsh to Becky as she was with her regular cheerios, but I got the feeling that Becky actually appreciated being treated like the rest of the team. I also appreciated Kurt's crossed legs in the wheel chair, Brittany being an idiot, and I am pretty amazed at Kevin McHale's ability to work a wheel chair like he does. His song really does play a lot better as a video than as a sound track. I totally missed Rachel getting hit with a plate of food.. I have to rewatch.. about when does it happen? |

I have always called that song "Big Wheel" or "Rolling on The River." For some reason those titles stuck instead of "Proud Mary"

Wasn't the best episode, but still good. The "Proud Mary" performance at the end was great. <3
My favorite part of the episode was Kurt saying "everyone please raise your right hand! Your...other one, Brittany." Cheerleader: *whisper* No, Brittany, this one. |

I loved it. I see how so many "touching" storylines sort of drowned out the usual vicious streak but I really didn't care. The show was deeply
touching. Jane Lynch secured her emmy nomination, the show secured its Golden Globe win, and this thread secured the quote of the season.
Not a bad outcome from 42 minutes of telelvision. P.S. I loved Dancing With Myself so very, very much. I was already in love with the audio, and seeing it the way it was done made me really unreasonably happy. ETA: Brittany's line about recipes was made of win. They need to give her a bit more to do. |

meggie28 wrote:Exactly what I was trying to say. I am not a huge fan of Quinn (like you) so episodes like this make it difficult for me to give her a break. Being physically "adorable" doesn't do shit for me. She's not being complex or entertaining or amusing in the least to me.. in this episode she was a straight up bitch. The writers need to make a decision with her.. either keep her a bitch so she's at least consistent. OR get her some acting classes so she can do bitchy and sympathetic at the same time. If it keeps up like this, viewers will start hating her. I'm open minded. I didn't like Defying Gravity.. then it grew on me. I can't stand Dancing With Myself no matter who sings it, but I enjoyed Artie's performance. I wasn't that crazy about Puck, not like you guys, but now I like him a lot more. Quinn is going downhill with me. |

Quinn is a bitch that gets sympathy from me, especially that episode when they sang "Keep Holdin On"
Glee better win the Emmys, SAGS, GOLDEN GLOBES!!! What am I missing? win it all |
