Brittany was all sorts of awesome last night. The "I find...recipes confusing" line. Santana having to not only point out which was her right hand,
but also pull her arm down after they finished the oath. Brittany still holding up her right arm as they're wheeling out the classroom after the
oath. And then of course her giving the dollar to Becky.

Wasn't Brit the one trying to cheat off Quinn's paper?

She tried to cheat off of Quinn in Spanish, and she apparently cheats off of Becky in Math. As to how Puck knew that (considering he hasn't been to a Math
class in two years), don't ask me.

I was touched by the Brit and Becky scene as well.

When you've got crap like Heroes hanging around with a 2.3, and it's probably not much cheaper than Glee, I think we're good for at least a Season 2. I also have hope that when it airs post-Idol, we may see ratings go up. I feel like the hype for the show is still building. |

I could see Glee having better numbers once Idol returns. That is a pretty strong lead in and could really help it out. I could also see them do some sort of
tie in.

I thought this episode was pretty awesome. I think everything was handled very well. There was PC and non-PC. (Using Pot to help raise money for the bake sale and then stealing said money. And the biggest thing, Finn pretending to be handicapped to get a job.. that's SO wrong.)

OMG get this y'all! Not only did my husband watch this show(he sat down), but he said it was "Good!" and to make it even better he actually
engaged in an argument with me on whether or not that was Chris's actual voice on Defying Gravity.

My kid has a disability, and I have nothing but seething love for this episode.

My sister has Downs; and I agree that the treatment of the issue was heavy-handed. IT also, though touching, showed Sue as a little TOO different from how she
usually acts. A few Sue touches would have come in handy. Hell, even when in love she did not stop being Sue. And why do we cheer that Kurt takes on the status
quo while they never have Mercedes go very far (she bitches but then gives in, every time).
I like a lot about this show; but as I said, it is too disjointed. The balance just never seems to be quite right between snarky, touching, and revealing of character and motives. |

The show could become a hit once Idol returns.... numbers don't always go down

Wasn't the premiere advertised ad nauseum during the end of Idol's last season? I can see the numbers climbing a little but not a lot.

Idol does have a way of increasing the numbers of the show it leads into.

It's totally a tongue in cheek 'musical/rompfest' and if people have issues with that then turn the channel. Yes, it was obviously OVER THE TOP with Sue/sister and Sue/CheerioDownsGirl BUT, that's what this show is all about. I actually see nothing wrong 'or' out of character having Sue show a secret 'sensitive' side 'away from her co-workers' and daily routines. They have done similar things with Kurt's 'tough Dad' and it works well also we've seen specs of it with Mohawk Boy. I like caring about these characters and it just draws me in more when they have scenes as mentioned above. |
