Is it just me or does it seem odd that we have eleven players left and it's mid-November? I haven't checked schedules, but it seems like the show should be wrapped up in about a month or so. I hope we don't get double boots at this stage in the game. >_<

Unduli, about the schedule. Let's say it's an F3, which means the 2-hour finale could have 5 players at the start. That leaves 6 boots to get to that level. Because the finale is on a Sunday, that's six Thursdays. Looking at my calendar, the sixth Thursday from now is December 17th, with a finale on the 19th.

To me that sounds like about 1 week too late for your typical finale. But stranger things have happened. This also assumes a real episode on Thanksgiving, which has happened (but isn't a given.) It also assumes a final 3.

Yeah, a double boot is possible, but isn't a given. I'd be curious exactly how a double boot would work. You'd have to think of the contingencies if you're a player - do you have to write 2 names down, with the 2 highest vote totals taking the blue-light shuffle? or do you vote 1 out and then the other? Either one is fraught with peril, especially if you're just tossed it at TC with no warning. Come to think of it, a 2X boot would be kind of interesting. Let's say you're pagonging someone on the first round, you get up to leave, and suddenly Jeff says, "sit down. We're not done. Time to vote again." If there were enough pagongs left they know who they were voting for - the same person they voted in round 1. What would that Tagis do? Unless they had a #2 pick already lined up they couldn't compare notes. Even the other scenario, where Jeff suddenly says, "You must write down two names" could give the pagongs a chance.

I certify that the above has nothing to do with edgic. In fact, I kind of hope this happens, just to stir things up.

Okay, that would make sense. I was also thinking about the Thanksgiving episode, so that we would have to skip a week, but your schedule makes sense.

I despise F5 finales >_<

Yeah, Jaison definitely got a P this episode Warrior.

As for the talk about the schedule, I would think that we'd get a double tribal council sometime in the merge, I mean they were going to have one when black Russel was med evaced, but 3 going that episode was too much, but 2 going a future episode will be just right. I wonder what'll happen with the immunity necklace at such a double tribal council, I guess it's good for both of them?

The varying versions of the rule in the posts after yours highlights why I'm skeptical that the rule is edgic. My standard is whether the failure of a guideline in a given season suggests that edgic didn't work for that season. I don't think the 30-minute rule (or 15-minute or 22.5-minute or whatever it is) qualifies.

So what does Mick need tonight to be a "good" winner pick? Or doesn't it matter as long as he's visible and has a confessional or two?

I actually can see Mick, Jaison, Russell and Natalie all having interesting final TC questions. Mick would have the leadership questions to deal with, was it his fault his tribe did such a terrible job at challenges? Did he ever give up, what did he do to try to turn things around? Why should he win the money when his tribe was such a losing tribe and he was in charge? They would ask Jaison about the wanting to quit factor, giving up, not giving it all he had. Natalie would get the why do you deserve the money, it didn't look like you did anything but ride Russell's coat tails? Of course Russell would get questions about lying, going around making final two deals with just about everyone. I can see all four doing very well answering whatever questions that come at them. All of them with the exception of Russell are very articulate. Russell sounds like he's from the back woods but he's not dumb.

It's hard to picture anyone from Galu at the final TC, except maybe Shambo. She has been getting the misfit edit and could get questions about her lack of skills fishing, losing the chicken, leading her tribe....the list goes on. I do not think she would do well at answering the questions, she doesn't seem to have people skills like she bragged about in episode one.

I can see Brett getting one or two good episodes and then he's gone. I don't know what he did to the editors or MB that they didn't want to show him, but he is the most invisible person left...that's unusual for a decent looking guy on Survivor.

Russell was not neutral last time, he is never neutral! I would say negative or mixed, that is pretty obvious. I guess it depends on whether you like what he's doing out there or not. I do not like him but he's sly and playing the game...I still think he is meant to be a negative character and always the villain. We might understand what he's doing in the game and why, but he's not a nice guy at all.

I think Brett already has the record for most MALE consecutive UTR/INV1 streak.

And I love how Russel can call everyone a dumbass and act extremely cocky, but will still get a neutral or mixed if he makes any kind of comment about a FF comeback at TC.
