Besides she was being all sanctimonious because Russell actually saved himself. The Day of Reckoning probably has to do with her versus Russell in some fashion and hopefully she winds up getting the boot.

NOBODY expected that Foa Foa would EVER target Kelly, and it's quite possible that Brett, Dave, Laura, Kelly, Monica and John didn't realize why she was booted until last night. So why would they get rid of a nicey-nice player? Probably for spite. So yeah, you take out one of the queen bee's best friends, and the nicer one to boot, and you're definitely going to stir up a whole lotta hell. Laura is a bitch, but that had nothing to do with this quote.

She clearly reads the Bible and if you do read it you will know about the woman's place on church if that is what you're talking about.

I think the laura versus shambo/russell is a short lived rivalry and she will be gone. I think she would have been given a little bit more airtime in the early episodes if she was going to be a season long character and a major rival of the main villian.

Except this scenerio wouldn't work... If Monica jumped ship from Galu then she would side with Fao Fao and be voting out .... herself? However the premise is on track. I think that Laura has put a big target on her back not only with Russ and Shambo but with the Galu Guys who can't beat seem to come close to her in an IC. I think this is going to start to make them nervous. Now Dave is the all gung-ho Galu (he can't seem to see the writing on the wall) so I don't see him sensing her as a danger down the road but Brett and John might. They certainly don't want to see a tie. Now say Fao Fao (plus Shambo) is targeting Laura and Galu is targeting Russ. I can see Brett (who is suddenly rumored to go far) or John going to Russ and making a deal to keep themselves safe.

Calling John, Brett and Monica. If a conversation is initiated, I would point out that I have 5 solid votes for Laura. It doesn't matter if Galu votes 5 for Russell or 5 for Mick or 5 for Jaison or 5 for Natalie. It would still be a tie. And it would ensure Laura and the person voted for would stay. But the other 8 are in jeopardy of going home due to the purple rock. If I were John, Brett or Monica, do I want to move ahead in the game, even closer to a million, or stay loyal to my alliance to the point of going home tonight? All Russell needs to do is sway one of those follks; my bet is that he will sway at least one and Laura will be gone.

Monica would never flip on Laura. Then I could see Russell recruiting a friendless Monica to vote off Galu guys at F9. This was forshadowed in the merge episode, when he talked about working with her after "her boss" was gone. Monica's edit suggests she does something important or lasts awhile.

If Foa Foa get someone in addition to Shambo to flip and help vote out Laura, why would Russell need to recruit any of the remaining three people on Galu who didn't join up with him when they had the chance? You know, instead of keeping his core 5 together and simply voting out the three people left on the good ship Galu? Why would Russell go out of his way to turn on people whose vote he can only lose by betraying them after they came over to his side? Once he's got his majority of 6 together, he only has to keep the plan simple: First get rid of whoever's left over in Galu who didn't join up, then keep Foa Foa together as long as possible so that he doesn't have to face the jury sitting next to anyone from Galu. Obviously, individual immunity may mess up an orderly Galu extinction, but as long as Foa Foa stick together -- and we have seen NO cracks there so far, Russell can just lean back and have grapes fed to him by Natalie until Galu are all gone. He doesn't need Monica for that. That doesn't mean he'll win, but he will have no chance in hell of winning if he starts turning on new allies just so he can justify the generous editing of hot girls who have nothing to offer him. If only one (besides Shambo) flips he will have not need for any of the rest of them. Spiritsdlou has a viable scenario for Russ's plea to John/Brett/Monica... with the exception of Monica I really can't see either John or Brett risking the purple rock just to save Laura.

Russell says, "come on Dave!" Does this mean Dave and Shambo have switched sides? Why else would Russ be saying this to Dave?
