I was 11. Seems like a popular age for the first season.

33.
But I didn't see it until the very end of the season because I was actually on a 4-month long solo camping trip when it started airing. This meant, of course, that everyone and their brother thought it was cute to ask me what I thought about the show, about which I knew nothing other than that I thought it sounded like the worst sort of sensationalist tripe. I think I was imagining that it was just going to be a lot of babes in bikinis and hot people having sex on the beach or something. But then my best friend from high school talked me into letting him play his videotapes for me, and I was surprised to discover that I did like it. What I could never figure out, though, was why the American public seemed to dislike the only contestants who seemed to have half a brain. Maybe it's just because I missed out on the whole phenomenon, but the instant the premise was fully explained to me, I was sort of like: "Oh. So it's basically just the biggest majority gets to run the show until the end? That doesn't sound very complex." I think that on some fundamental level, by missing the entire watercooler-chat-magazine-article-faddish-public-phenomenon aspect of the show (I was living in a tent, not a cave, but it came to the same thing), I also managed to find myself completely out of touch with the entire cultural zeitgeist.

I think I was like 7-9, I dont remember. I didnt really watch one it first came out(I dont think). I remember seeing some of the episodes with my bat-shit
crazy Great-Grandmother(my God rest her soul in peace). This is the same women who help teach me the basics of the alphabet with wheel of fortune <3333 I
started wacthing religiously when CI came on, and have caught up in PI and EI since then, and about half of Palau.

I was 13. First episode I watched was the Borneo finale. Since I wasn't up to date I wasn't pissed about Rich winning which everyone was at the time. I
started watching regularly with Outback and remained that way until Palau. I occasionally watched Guatemala and Exile Island. After that I didn't watch,
but tried to stay updated by Wikipedia. I randomly saw the Gabon finale as well. I started getting back into the show this summer and watched most of
Tocantins. I am watching Samoa and trying to get caught up on Cook Islands through Gabon.
