Kelly won't win it but damn the fact that she's even mentioned on that list is pretty fucking incredible esp when you consider she's never been on the cover of RS or even done an in depth interview that I'm aware of.

I think it is kind of strange that only three female solo acts were listed at all Kelly (with Beyonce and MIA). Impressive that she made the short list.

I dunno. Music fans tend to be a snobbish bunch, and I find that a good portion of radio, print as well as other media like to pander to them, unfortunately. That said, I will agree with rest of what you said - it is impressive that Kelly made the list. It's impressive and deserving.
