I wouldn't call the observation tower/deck, out in a bog, a "Monument/Landmark". That's like calling an observation deck out in the
Everglades a monument/landmark.

An open field implies that Phil would be standing on a field, not a platform. And a platform is a constructed facility. Yes, it a building with a foundation
(piers), wall supports, stairs, a floor and a roof (if standing on the lower level).
