I don't recall a team ever getting the exact same ballroom dance in four weeks, at least not when teams still do one dance per week (as Courtney did get a rumba in week 3 and 6). Maybe the spoilerer just confused it with a waltz, or a viennese waltz. It happens a lot at the tapings (which kind of annoys me, since a waltz and fox trot look so different), so I can buy it happening from looking through a studio window. But the show could also be trying to go for a redemption type thing, since Noelle missed her first fox trot. As for Channing and Victor; Victor really hasn't been challenged this season. Contemporary, broadway, contemporary, jazz. For me, jazz is to contemporary as standard ballroom is to the latin styles. They are very different from each other, but I expect dancers who are great at the latter to be great at the former.

It's not a Tyce piece, though, so I'm not going to call an auto B3 for them. Ryan/Ellenore get a Travis contemporary? Redemption up the ying yang. They're definitely safe this week. Nathan/Mollee... no idea how this one is going to go. How did Russell/Noelle get a Foxtrot again?!? Considering they don't seem terribly popular (they weren't B3 last week, but they also performed last and got a great deal of praise) and only four couples are safe this week, plus the fact that ballroom styles generally don't get many votes, they could easily be in the B3 this week. No idea about Legacy/Kathryn's Paso. Could go any way. A Tyce jazz is pretty darn close to contemporary half the time, so they ought to breeze through this one. I'm most excited about Jakob/Ashleigh's hip-hop. Looks like they also perform last (if that's the order), which will help them out in the votes. It's a NappyTabs one, so it could easily suck, but I'd love to see how they do.

Once again, I have a problem with the judging, though. They were too hard on Kathryn and WAY too easy on Legacy. I have a pretty strong suspicion that the original choreography for this piece was much tougher, but the choreographer dumbed down Legacy's part because he wasn't able to do it. Otherwise, I don't really understand why Kathryn was responsible for at least 75% of the dancing while Legacy moved from pose to pose. It wasn't as bad as when Mia parked Cedric on his butt while his partner danced around, but it was close. Legacy executed what he did just fine, I guess, but it was extremely elementary (with the exception of the parts that drew from his B-Boy specialty). Kathryn, on the other hand, danced her butt off AND brought character to it. Yeah, it was a bit of a cutesy, coquettish character, but I fail to see what is wrong with that. The music is so light and goofy, that I think if she had been ferocious, as Adam suggested, it would have seemed out of place. I'm afraid that Legacy may be made into another Twitch with the judges giving him way more credit than he deserves. He's been good thus far, overall, but they're acting like he's gone from Quasimodo to Baryshnikov! ITA. I can't wait to see him hide behind a bed for 75% of a dance! Yes, I'm just now getting around to watching this, lol. And it won't let me un-underline. WTF?

Speaking of which, I don't want to friend anyone I don't actually know, but I'd still like to see/know what's on their page (i.e. the dancers who are currently public figures and "friend" all the viewers who ask). Has anyone collected any pics or info they can share, especially re: Amy and Vincent of Canada's Season 2, since there seems to have been some drama around Amy's treatment? Bad sign #3: I'd rather catch up on the gossip about another season than follow the current one. ~ 2800 ~
