Huh? Morimoto wasn't a judge in the elimination challenge. Are you talking about the "quickfire" (for lack of a better word) with the yakitori
skewers?

Ugh, hate Metha. This show lost a lot of credibility IMO real quick.

cginspace wrote:Not too bad, eh? I knew they wanted something different this time. Here is the odd one: Garces seems like the less annoying alternative, of those remaining. Mehta, however, has that hyper-drive that seems to appeal to viewers. I think his looks are too off-putting for most, though. I'm actually, until tomorrow when I rethink this, putting my money on Mehta, though. He is VERY different to this show. |

Yeah after last night I'd really love to see Mehta win. Imagine a PASTRY CHEF winning!!!

This is now nothing but a joke, Mehta making it to the finals , when he should have been eliminated somewhere in the first few, is a travesty.

No way I can see Mehta winning - he gets a little too snarky for an iron chef. His edit shows that they have him playing for second. I do like that the person
who gets picked is judged by the other iron chefs.

Why is Jeffrey in love with Mehta? I thought he just liked deep fried tallow on a pork neckbone or summat.

I think it's gonna be Mehta as the NIC, which I am not too happy about. I thought last night he failed with all those freaking
flowers, He had no story what so ever other than he likes to see happy people. retard. I really like Garces BUT I think he cooks with a spices that Bobby Flay
uses so I am thinking he won't be the winner. Mehta is very different than the rest and that's about the only thing he has going for him. I would
never ever watch an IC episode with him in it or I will and hope he fails everytime. I really dislike him and think that several of the others were blindly
robbed.

Whoever said it earlier said it right--he is just so...off putting! I am glad some people like him though. When I think of Mehta, all that comes to mind are
bug-eyes and putting pans/dishes on the floor, which totally disgusts me. FN though never seems to care to edit shows where a MOR or P person wins. We see
incredibly arrogant, off-putting, negative/annoying people win all the time. It's almost like...their own formula. I mean think about Chopped, usually the
cocky bastards who really rub the viewers the wrong way ALWAYS win, which I kinda hate. You know, the ones that have all the confessionals being all
"There's no doubt in my mind I'm going to win...I'm superior to everyone here." And you're left hoping for an upset or for them to be
put in their place, and bam, they aren't. It's kinda disheartening.

They never said who won the challenge, just who was eliminated. My guess is Garces won. Mehta is an eccentric chef who producers feel would be watchable.
Although Mullen blew the rice, I think his mistake was starting it too late so it didn't get a chance to steam properly, the judges admitted his vision met
the challenge standards the best. The reality is, Mullen is just too bland to be an Iron chef. My gut tells me that Garces has the momentum going into the
final challenge. I'll be rooting for him, even though I have a feeling this will be like the Next Food Network Star and the one Producer's want to
win, Mehta, will prevail.

felt sorry for Mullin and his pain but, he wouldn't be able to endure the fast pace of the show
Mehta is creepy... thus, it's got to be Garces they hardly use the new ones anyway |

I find Mehta very pretentious, but in a delusional way. As in, he sucks but thinks he's hot snot. Hate him. Loved gimpy Seamus.

I'm rooting for the Latino
Jefrrey is sucha blowhard. Ugh. I guess he is a little more bearable than the guy from the last NIC, the annoying spoiled brat kid. |

I don't like either of these two, but Garces is more palatable than Mehta. I hate Mehta and have for many, many weeks.
Early on, I thought that either Mullen or Appleman or BOTH would be in the top 2. I'm surprised that neither made it... |

Appleman really annoyed me, and his food rarely excited me. Plus I hated his arrogance and lying to the judges to get ahead. Mullen just bored me, and his food
actually started to look really boring. Mehta has flair, and Garces just appeals to me on a "personal" level... or at least as far as we have been
allowed to see a person.

Where the heck did these sous-chefs come from???
I guess they're from Garces's and Mehta's restaurants, but the show could at least have said something....

Ugh, Jeffrey Steingarten is a pompous ass. |
