My wife wants one of these for Christmas. Which one is better? She wants a Wii, but she said that PS3 has more games, especially the RPG she likes. So which is

Yeah, I thought the Wii was great until I got a PS3. I use it for everything. Games, music, pictures, Blu-Ray/DVD, xvid tv shows.

I inherited a PS3 and am loving it. I'm yet to play a game on it, but the Blu Ray is spectacular and after much tweaking, DVD is better than my old
upscaler.

Just my two cents:
Both have their good games, pros, etc.. lots of people buy one and then think they should have got the other one... It happens, boredom sets in, etc. What I did was watch youtube videos of New Super Mario for the Wii on youtube, and got bored of the game after 10 minutes of watching. Get a ps3 just for God of War 3 alone. |

I've been a Nintendo loyalist all my life, but I've played the Wii once in like six months, and now it's just a blue night light. It's a terrific novelty, and if they can combine that novelty with graphics and game selection for the next system it'll be epic, but there's not much you can get for Wii that doesn't make you think you just paid fifty bucks to play a Miniclip game with a neat controller. Meanwhile, I continually play my PS3, not just for games but for BD movies and torrents. |

I dunno if you can download torrents with PS3 and I wouldn't want to try it. But you can upload or stream things from your PC. I'm considering buying a
USB hard drive and putting TV shows on it.

So if you use your computer to download say the eppies of Defying Gravity that ABC didn't air, if you download them to an external harrdrive, they'll play on the PS3? FWIW, Bill Compton, lead vampire in True Blood, has a Wii, which I always find amusing. |
