Even if ND wasn't hosed on the fake fumble, they were still looking at 4th and what, 16?

it's rivalry week! | ||

Oh dear lord...
I don't like this notion of spreading rivalry "week" over three weeks. I much preferred it when all the teams in a conference play their rivals the same day. It made the Saturday feel epic. |

Come on, dude...enough with the 2.5 tie between Florida and Alabama. PICK ONE. Please. Or are you waiting for the SEC Championship game? |

CRA, I honestly see them as being dead-even. They both have two blowout wins against 'patsies', a game which they SHOULD have lost, pretty even wins
against LSU and SC, 'evening' victories against KY and MS St., and about dead-even wins against the collective whole of their other foes.
I'll be at least a bit surprised if it's not still anyone's game with 6 minutes to go in the 4th Quarter of the SEC CG... I think they're that even. Muggs, here is the REAL thing that irks me about 'Rivalry Week' as far as the Pac 10 is concerned - the stupid scheduling!! For five of the teams in the conference this year, their in-state rivalry game, which should be their regular-season finale game, isn't so... your Cardinal being one of those five teams. I wish that the schedule-makers in the conference would get their damn acts in gear and get this situation corrected, such that all five of the rivalry games within the conference are the final games of the regular season for each of the respective ten teams, as they should be. |

uc you forgot usc's path to the rose bowl
-cal wins out -oregon loses out -oregon state only wins one more game -arizona wins their two games that aren't against usc -usc wins out (a challenge: see if you can find the unlikely part of this scenario!) |
