She does have a very hard face... even when she smiles she's hard on the eyes. By the way, the Gays of SUCKS who are major "fans" of hers, you do
realize that Laura doesn't believe in equal rights for Gays, hates animal rights groups, and is a major supporter of Liberty University, right? So what do
you think of you IC Icon, now?

Wait. I thought it was confirmed that Russell was 5'2" not 5'6"...

I thought the look on her face got a whole lot more pissed off when it was revealed that it was Kelly who was targeted. Before that, she looked annoyed. After, it looked like revenge-mode. And I did think that her comment was kind of a declaration of war, as if it wasn't already there. But I do think that she and her band of morons were under the mistaken notion that their hatred/dismissal/derision toward Foa Foa, and Russell especially, wasn't obvious to anyone. Hence, the "band of morons" title. |

I don't care what Laura is like outside the game. Her views are of no relevance to me. But I do like her "character" within the game, and I think
the hate she's getting is ridiculously extreme. She isn't exactly a Jerri Manthey or Ami Cusack. She's hardly done/said anything bitchy, imo, at
least in comparison to people like Jenna M, Mia or Natalie from Micro. All she did was play the game...which, I guess would be a problem, seeing as how only
Russell is allowed to play the game this season.

Oh come on, Yeaster, give us a break. No one is "hating" on her and if anything it's Russell with whom most "loathe". As for her Survivor "character" the way she is behaving on screen is the way she most likely behaves in RL. How can you not show your real self within the game (guards to come down once people become comfortable with the camera)... unless you're an actor... which she is not. I don't hate the woman, I simply find her... MEH. Kind of boring to be quite honest. Second, I like it when her "fans" become enraged if anyone dare says something negative about her... it's funny... |

Whatever views she has or however she behaves in her hometown is her business. To sum up -- Laura's behaviors, to me, haven't been that bad at all, or at least not as bad as the boards would have one to believe. The traits Laura is often criticized for are the same traits that Russell himself posseses and is loved for, so idgi. :\ |

Her conversation with Russell about it not being a woman's role to preach to men, using it as some kind of social leverage, was pretty bad. But if I hated
everyone who took the Bible seriously and used it as social leverage, I'd have to hate nearly everyone.

Isn't Russell a born again christian too? But really, as long as they don't spend the game preaching about who's deserving etc (like in Australia),
I don't care.

I really think the reason her reaction was so "extreme" was because the Kelly vote seemed so arbitrary and out of left field for Galu (ie, why it was
such a good move). Kelly wasn't bothering anyone. She wasn't a strong alpha male type. Not even Laura's closest ally. That makes it a really bold
move on Foa Foa's part. I don't think she's being overly hateful or even irrational, it was just a big "WTF?!?" moment for the Galu 6.
I like Laura, but I think she would have been wiser to not play so aggressively so quickly. Still, I hope she goes far. On the other hand, Shambo played this last ep PERFECTLY! Pretending to react in shock with Galu, nodding all wide-eyed at Laura's comment, voting for Russ with Galu- awesome. |
