Recruit nationally, but with a regional base- Notre Dame's players are too regionally diverse. It's hard to develop team chemistry when you have an equal amount of flashy west coasters, intense New Jerseyites, lumbering farmboys and sneaky-fast southerners. Start with a midwestern base and recruit select players out of the region.
I guess someone needs to brush up on their college rivalry history. Especially 1982.
