I'm at the end of the game and all that's left to do before the final battle is the sidequests. Today I played for a looooong time and I got tired of breeding chocobos so I decided to pay a visit to Ruby Weapon to see how badly I would get my ass kicked. Cloud, Tifa, and Cait Sith were in my party. Tifa gets killed in two hits. Cloud gets "Sandwhirled" out of the battle, and Cait Sith is down to 173 HP. He has a limit break though! So Ruby Weapon stuck his tentacles in the ground and now he was vulnerable so I started Cait Sith's slot reel and wouldn't you know, I got the ultimate "Game Over" limit break that kills anything in one hit and Ruby Weapon died! This whole battle lasted about 2 minutes! I think that's only the second time I've ever successfully gotten that limit break to happen. I'm still laughing about this. If it's good I might just ask for it for Christmas, which would be cute considering that 20 years ago (app.) I was asking for SMB3 for Christmas. It would also make people rightfully want to kick my ass.

Posts: 21164 (12/04/09 12:46 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Okay, so I rented the new Mario Bros game to see if it was worth buying. I ended up finishing it in 24 hours. (Would've taken a me a fraction of that time if it wasn't for work). So, no, not worth buying at all. I guess when reviewers said it was really hard they assumed it would mostly be 9 years olds who would play the game. Now granted, I haven't found all the secret rooms nor have I even looked for them, but I always hate that shit anyways. Just like when you finish a Zelda game, you always have a smartass telling you that you still haven't found all the heart pieces. Like I fucking care! The huge flaw is that the stages are WAY too short. Everytime you do have a challenging stage, you think you're gonna have to try it over and over again, but then you're like: "Oh no, wait..........there's the finish line." SMB3 is much longer and a lot more difficult. Tomorrow I'm gonna try the 4 players mode with 3 other people, I'm sure it'll be fun, but probably not enough to buy the game either. Overall, the game just felt too rushed. You'd think that this being an hommage to one the biggest games in Nintendo history they'd try to perfect it a little.

How many movies and TV shows did you see this week that thought sucked? I want another Super Mario RPG to be made Me too! But I guess they did with the Paper Mario shit, which really blew chunks compared to the epic Legend of the 7 stars

It's a solid game that probably doesn't deserve all the hype it gets, though the production value is very high and it is well done for a classic RPG. It takes only about 30 hours to play through, which is definitely to its benefit because the battle system gets old by the end of the game.
