As expected, her face is all fucked with surgery, and she's as drunk on power and bitchiness as ever. So glad she's being paired against Ella, the show's best character. Love the faux lesbian makeout scene.

The show wouldn't have dragged the murder storyline for 11+ episodes just to have Michael end up being the assassin. What was up at the end when Amanda opened the hidden safe in the closet and read the letter written by Sydney? Am I missing something from the original series? (I've only watched the first three seasons of the original).

It's not Violet, it's Vanessa. She's not a regular, they signed a known actress to play the part and they aren't trying to make us like her. Plus, her leaving the show allows Michael to get back to his playboy ways.

Posts: 16191 (11/18/09 10:52 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts	Over at The CW, the return of Heather Locklear to Melrose Place lifted the struggling revival to a 1.3/ 2 in the overnights at 9 p.m. -- 30 percent above one week earlier (1.0/ 2 on Nov. 10). Comparably, retention out of lead-in 90210 (above-average 1.5/ 2 at 8 p.m.) was a comfortable 87 percent. But a 1.3/ 2 is still only a 1.3/ 2. Heather Locklear has made her triumphant return to "Melrose Place." Can she save it yet again? Maybe. Was Heather Locklear's return to "Melrose Place" perfect? Damn near. She looked great, she kicked a** and she left us with an intriguing hook to get us back. The problem? That the show can't keep up with her. If this show were all about Amanda Woodward, Ella Simms and Lauren Yung, it'd be made in the shade. The Ella-Lauren friendship, the Amanda-Ella dynamic and Lauren's hooker-with-a-heart-of-gold storylines are all great. The problems lie with Crazy Eyes, the Spencer-lookalike and The Most Boring Couple on the Planet. I don't know if even Amanda Woodward can save them. Luckily, Crazy Eyes is on her way out and some new blood is on its way in. (Sorry Colin Egglesfield. It's not you.) So maybe there is hope for "Melrose Place" yet. The biggest draw of Amanda? It wasn't her quips, though they were excellent, or her fashion, which was also great. It was the note Sydney left for her in the safe. "Amanda -- You'll never find it. -- Sydney."

I guess I could look it up but I'm too lazy right now. Agreeance on Heather's face being a little too surgically styled, but I don't have an hd tv so it ain't so bad. Love that they talked about Lauren being from Cincinnati last night. That's the first I heard of that, and being a Cincy gal, well, all I can say is love that Skyline chili!
