4. "Borderline" the essential 80s Madonna video. Its the video that started the whole Madonna-wannabe craze. From the big messy hair, to the plastic bracelets, multi-colored everything... it's not just the quintessential Madonna video, but for the whole decade of the 80s. A classic Madge video with a full storyline and Madonna sass! 
3. "Bad Girl" Directed by David Fincher, "Bad Girl" is Madonna most movie like video ever. She's always had videos with strong storylines, but this was more cinematic. Madonna plays a woman, Louise Oriole, who is a work and sex obsessed woman. Protected by a guardian angel, played by Christoper Walken. Madonna risky life style finally catches up to her at the end of the video when she is murdered by a stranger she had taken home for sex. Bad Girl <3<3<3<3

2. "Take A Bow" Quite easily one of the most beautiful Madonna videos ever made. Madonna always does her best acting in her music videos and obviously this is her highmark. Another video where words cant quite express the visual effect of simply watching this video and taking it all in.

And the all-time greatest Madonna video is....
 
 
1. "Oh Father" Madonna's most personal and autobiographical video EVER. The video is set against a snow filled cemetary. With Madonna as a young child dealing with her abusive father. She then falls into the trap of abusive men, and later in life she is with a man who beats her. The death of Madonna's mother has always been an underlying theme in several songs and albums, but never so directly as in this video. Such an artistic video and everyime i watch, i feel like i get something new from it.  
Madonna never makes eye contact with the camera until the very end of the video, when she belts out "I never felt so good about myself!" Rewatch it. In every other scene she is looking down, or away from the camera. Most people with low-self esteem or who are in abusive relationships, do not like to make eye contact. Its one of the subtle things that makes this Madonna's greatest video of all-time.

Interestingly enough, the song broke her consecutive Top 10 billboard hit chains or something which started with Bordeline in 1983 (Oh Father peaked at #20, I still remember this like it was yesterday). Awesome awesome list, EPR! <3 <3 <3 |

I guess just because I relate to "Take A Bow" much more than "Oh Father." My Dad took no effort to hide that I was his favorite son lol.

I don't think 'Oh Father' was ever released here as a single but as soon as I saw the vid on 'The Immaculate Collection' (which my daughter
stole off me about four years ago) I was smitten.
