Marquesas.
A great season. To me everyone but Patricia was a memorable character, including best first boot ever: Holy Peter. |

This isn't even close. Marquesas was an amazing season, with great characters, good strategizing and overall very entertaining until the very end.
Guatemala was good compared to POST-Ass seasons, but it doesn't even come close to the epicness of Marquesas. The only season post-ass season that could
compare to Marq is Gabon, but Marquesas is probabably still better.

I like Marquesas, but Guatemala hands down. Just such a criminally underrated season and it annoys me every time people praise EI as being so good when such a
good season like Guatemala was before it.

Guatemala was a good season, but Marquesas blows it out off the water.
If I were to show anyone just one season of Survivor, it would be Marquesas. That's classic Survivor |

I've never been much of a Marquesas fan, but I did enjoy the cast somewhat. Guatemala also had a colorful cast, but the premire seemed too cluttered. One
thing cinches this for me: The cinematography. Every shot of Nuku Hiva was simply breathtaking.

Both are among my favourite seasons, but I have to give a slight edge to Marquesas. It just feels a bit more epic to me.

guatemala is my favorite season ever. the premier was amazing because of the 11-mile hike, which is arguably the toughest challenge ever. the characters were
entertaining and memorable. both pre- and post-merge portions of the season had great moments and never lacked momentum. opposed to some of the other seasons
(where there's an overdose of strategy-talk), there was a good balance of strategizing and down-time, which helped us get to know the survivors better.
marquesas was good as well, and also ranks high on my list, but at the same time, it got to be rather boring toward the end. other than kathy and sean, there wasn't really anyone worth watching. neleh and paschal were cute and all, but nothing really "wow" about them, and vee is a far more "boring" winner than danni (who is definitely not a boring winner!). kathy should have won, but unfortunately, things didn't pan out that way. |

Guatemala will forever be one of the most underrated seasons ever. I mean the setting was insane. The temples. I mean it does not get better then that. It
was a lot better then Palau but many people like Palau better. I will never understand that.

For me, it's all about the characters. The only really entertaining people in Guatemala were Stephenie, Judd and Gary (and Jamie and Bobby Jon when they
were in battle mode against each other). By contrast, there were very few boring people in Marquesas. That was back in the days when casting did their job
properly, and they struck gold, especially with Mara'amu. There wasn't a single boring character on that tribe. It was very satisfying to see an
original Mara'amu member win.

There were TONS of good characters in Guatemala. You got to know everybody after Brooke (and even Jim was good for a first boot), Margaret was a good pre-merge
character, Brian, Brandon, and Amy were awesome, Gary was good, Bobby Jon and Jamie were also good. The same goes for Rafe and Stephenie as well. Even Blake
and Lydia had moments, and Danni wasn't nearly as invisible as people complain about and played a good solid UTR game.

Both Seasons are awesome but the storytelling for Marquesas was just amazing. Did anyone else crack up when Blake was going on and on about his girlfriend
having big boobs. That would have been so embarrasing if he was watching that episode with her and her family.

I liked both seasons. I loved Marquesas... but wasn't a big fan of the final 2, and personally don't like V as a winner. I think the season might have
been the best had there been a different winner.

I would say Marquesas was slightly better then Guatemala. I didn't like the Maya theme in Guatemala and the location wasn't good either. I also
honestly think the tribal swap ruined Guatemala for me because they decided to make the swap to early when there was 15 castaways left(odd number). Bobby Jon,
Danny, Brendan and Blake went from a tribe off majority to minority.
However i was quite satisfied Danny won over the axis of evil alliance and i was sad that Kathy didn't make it to the final in Marquesas. Kathy rocked in Marquesas and she deserved to win.
