Adam was leading it big time but after the performance show it was a dead heat between the two. I can't recall though the last time I saw anyone lose with
that good of odds except Susan Boyle and then Verne losing CELEB-BBUK and getting 4th when he was like 1/5.

^^ In terms of overcoming betting odds, Ulrika's win is my no.1 favourite
 because she was like 4th or 5th, not even close. Many speculated her win was
due to low ratings of the show, which means most people couldn't be bothered voting for the show's favourites (Verne).
Hopefully people who bet on Hayley would also vote hard for Hayley if they wanna win big money. |

Always remember this is Australian Idol.
If things went as planned and the favourite prevailed every time Casey, Kate, Damien and Natalie wouldn't be 4 f the 6 winners. Hayley will be the Australian Idol for 2009 and Marcia will die. Win-Win and if Hayley doesn't win it will still be a Win-Lose because Jay Dee will die. |

Damien did not overcome big odds to beat Jessica. It was clear as day that he would win, I have no idea why the oddsmakers would list Jessica as the
favorite.... Damien was going into the finale with two touchdown performances from the final 3 round! O_O
Casey, Kate, and Natalie winning were huge upsets though. As much as I hate Hayley, I hate Stan more so I guess I wouldn't mind if she won. |

I agree that Damien is definitely a lesser upset. He was certainly an underdog from the start though if you look at it that way. I mean Kyle told the man
straight up that he was too fucking ugly to win it.

Kate is the ONLY underdog winner. PERIOD.
Judges praised Damien, Casey, and Natalie a lot. Not every time, but a lot. But, Kate was constantly being ignored. The best praise she got was "you almost hit it there, but not yet, still good though" |

Underdog in terms of not being the favourite to win going into the finale though. Anthony, Matt Corby and Emily were all easily the favourites to win come F2
and Jessica was the oddsmakers pick which is bizarre.

I just watched all Hayley's top 2 performances and skimmed through Stan's, I have to say I regret it. Because Hayley is so awesome in all those
performances, and has to lose to fuckin stan. DISGUSTING.
Anyways, UFO - 9.5/10 - One of her stronger vocal performance, can't believe she actually sprained her ankle, no one would catch it if she didnt inform us. I would give her a 10 if she made a bit more variation towards the end. For Once In My life - yeah, passable 7/10. The song sucks. Good Day - Awesome single, awesome, awesome, 10/10 Don't Stop The music - Vocal is good, but lovvvvvve the dancing and personality 8.5/10 SLAY that fuckin squeerel, SLAYYYYYYY

I have to admit, I actually kind of love "Black Box" even though it makes little sense.
The long wait for the winner announcement is painful. As more time passes the less confident I become that Hayley will win. I'm almost at lost cause point which is sad considering how confident I was all season. I'm still holding on to a tiny thread of hope. |

I finally got to listen to the final 2 performances. Overall, I think Stan edged Hayley out, especially on the winner's singles. Black Box is a better
song than Good Day, imo. I hated that he sang Superstar, though. He's no Ruben.
Either way, I must congratulate shc for predicting Hayley making it to the finals, at least. I thought she sucked most of the season, but shc kept on standing behind her. Kudos! <3 |
