This episode pissed me off. I felt bad for Finn, and I love Kurt, and thew Rachel/Will stuff was funny, but I'm sick of the "Poor Quinn, she fucked her boyfriend's best friend (but not him) and is now lying about who the baby daddy is but it's okay because she chose Finn to be the father" bullshit. She chose Puck to be the father when she fucked him. You don't get to just "decide" who's going to be your baby daddy after your pregnant, and I fucking hated that shit they had Mercedes say. Not to mention Quinn is now going to be taking advantage of not only Finn, but his loving mother. Fuck that storyline. I'm feeling that Kurt will be the one to spill it to Finn about who the baby daddy is, to shake him loose from Quinn. Cause you know that Mercedes is NOT going to keep quiet about that juicy gossip nugget. |

Puck's fans are sending hateful tweets to Amber Riley who plays Mercedes after the scene last night. Eek.

I think its important to remember that Glee is a satirical program. It is uneven and exxagerated storywise by very careful design.
I'm not saying that it is better or worse by doing so, but that is one of the principles of the show. |

I think FOR SOME PEOPLE it's MORE important to remember that Glee is a satirical program.

People who talk about "realism" and this show really don't need to be watching it at all. They should instead spend Wednesday nights doing
accounting work.
And just to be clear, you people know that when Tina said "Other Asian kid" that isn't actually what the piece of paper that Will put in the hat said, right? |

Sorry but you guys are on Mars if you think Quinn has any chance of an Emmy nomination.Total agreeance. The girl who plays Quinn is one of the worst actresses on this show and that's saying a lot. I think only Jane Lynch will get the individual attention (long shots with Lea and Matthew). |

Aphasia does not mean unable to speak. Google is your friend. Yes, yes it is. Wiki: Traditionally, "Aphasia" suggests the total impairment of language ability, and "Dysphasia" a degree of impairment less than total. However, the term "dysphasia" is easily confused with dysphagia, a swallowing disorder, and thus "Aphasia" has come to mean both partial and total language impairment in common use. How silly of him. It doesn't mean, "unable to speak." It means "partial and total language impairment!" Silly Heliox . Thanks, Shag. |

loveski wrote:Well I think Diana is quite good, but to each is own. And to be clear, I was in no way implying that Agron is in Emmy contention, just that she did what I think will be her best work of the season. And yea, Lynch is a sure-fire lock to be nominated and you would think a favorite to win. I can see L.Michele having a good shot at a nomination (she deserves it), but a win would be a crazy long shot. I don't see Morrison getting in on either account. |

Forget Jane and Diana. Heather is a sure-fire winner!

The SovereignOne wrote: Honey, I studied satire. I write satire. Satire does not equal uneven. In fact, satire usually does not have the human element Glee has. I actually love the human element in the show, so long as it does not get too soap opera or heavy-handed (which it has flirted with a few times of late). My big problem is that it goes from this crazy crush and Finn singing to a sonogram (satire) to a balls-out sad and dramtic (almost melodramatic) scene without even bothering to switch gears slowly. And my one big "Huh" last night is that a student ended up in the hospital and in therapy because of a crush on a teacher, and the guidance counsellor has no clue who she is? They made it seem the whole scenario had been years before, then Susie Pepper shows up out of nowhere. I like the idea of Susie Pepper. I didn't mind what actually happened. It just made very little sense, even by the loopy logic the show set out for itself. LOVE: Kurt and Dad. That one was tackled with humor AND heart. Nice mix of the two Enlarging our view of Sue Sylvester. It was heavy-handed and lacking in "Sue-"ness at the end of the last show, yet it was nice to know a bit more. Seeing more of the parents, especially Finn's mom and Kurt's Dad. The idea of having music literally speak the character's minds... with dubbed "thoughts." This is the kind of satirical cheese that can be fun. |

Shagnanigans wrote:Well, then the Neurosurgeons and Neurlogists I have been working with the past 20 years are wrong according to you. Google is only your friend if you know how to use it! Don't know what site you are relying on. And I have been using the term Aphasic to describe my patients who are unable to speak due to stroke, intercranial traumas or severe psychological impairment.. In latin 'a' is used as the prefix for 'without, lack of, absence of' and 'phasia' is the root meaning 'to speak'. And yikes to those who are sending derogatory messages to the actress who plays Mercedes because her character does something they dont like. Seriously, kids/teens tweens and adults who can not figure out that this is a fictional drama need to be made 'a-television', because they are dysrealitycapable. Also, anyone else hindered by the YUKU block on Wednesday nights? I have put forth a question in FAQ to see if there is a solution. Only important because Wednesday is Glee (and was ANTM/SYTYCD) night and I want to come here and chat once I have seen the show.
