Yeah, but I think the whole point is for production to make sure the idols are always in play. They keep the game unpredictable which helps keep casual fans
interested.

They kinda do. Players who have awful social games and/or those who can't win challenges to save their lives have a much greater shot of sticking around
with the idols. Wouldn't Russell going last time have been the predictable result?
