Movie theater popcorn used to be cooked in coconut oil and tasted awesome, then the stupid CSPI people made a big deal about how unhealthy it was and theaters
started using different, less fatty, cooking oils.
Seriously, how often do these idiotic do-gooders at CSPI think people were eating movie popcorn? Switching from popping the corn in coconut oil was as monumentally as bad a decision as when McDonalds caved to the vegetarians and stopped using animal fat based cooking oil to fry their fries.

I saw the new Harry Potter (got a blowy for it I did), Dark Knight, and No Country for Old Men in theaters. I'm not sure what the last one was before that, but that I don't go much. I think I can handle the million calories once or twice a year. I know some really awesome popcorn, but I can't share it with y'all, because not everyone here is awesome enough for it. |

Orville does. It's not nearly as good though. Yeah, people have tried, but it's not the same. There have been times I've craved the totally fatty salty popcorn but don't want to watch a shitty movie. They need to have those at McDonald's or something. |

The local news here was reporting this story as though it were the end of the world.

I only go to the movies every once in awhile and skip lunch/dinner and pig out on popcorn. That is the best reason to go the theater! The yummy fatting butter.
