You can still give him a 1. I have him down as INV0 as he got way too little with only 10 people left.

Was Shambo actually supposed to be N? I honestly can't tell whether we're supposed to sympathize with her or be disgusted with her. I know how most
of Sucks feels, but I honestly can't gauge the editors' intent. On one hand, they've been beating down this Shambo/Laura rivalry for awhile,
making Shambo seem the sympathetic one and Laura the cruel villain ostracizing her from the tribe. And now that Laura's gone, are we supposed to feel
great for Shambo, and happy to see her so giddy? That's what I think we're supposed to feel, even if it's clear Shambo's a stupid twat who
built this animosity out of jack shit, so I think she's supposed to be P.
But then again, she is a twat, so maybe that was the editors' intent. It just feels like we're supposed to be happy for Shambo and glad she's so giddy, even if she's acting worse than Russell. But then I don't vote anyway, so it doesn't really matter how I feel. Just bringing up discussion. |

Mick - his challenge win was downplayed, evn though it was stategically important (giving Galu a 3/7 instead of a 4/7 chance of winning a tiebreaker). He gets
overshadowed in strategy scenes by his buddy Jaison. Natalie\s performance in the RC was more prominent than his IC win.
Monica - pretty sure she will pwn John and outlast a couple others before she leaves. So much foreshodowing If we're lucky, we might even get to see her outlast Shambitch. |

Finally, as much as I hate it, Brett clearly does not deserve a 1 tonight, between the reward, the immunity challenge, and the post-challenge strategy.
If anything, I actually thought after watching it he was a weak 3. He's clearly a 2, and you guys won't be doing any favors for Edgic if you don't vote otherwise. Better to try to be accurate even at the most meaningless ratings, or else you'll start getting more stupid favoritism bullshit ratings reflected on the voters' personal feelings rather than, you know, the editors' intent. |

During the scene with Shambo & Brett, there was VERY sympathetic piano music. I don't know who it was supposed to be for, but it sure as hell
wasn't Brett... or was it?

I also didn't think Natalie would be the least visable person, I thought her and Mick were equally visable, but I guess not.

On one hand, they've been beating down this Shambo/Laura rivalry for awhile, making Shambo seem the sympathetic one and Laura the cruel villain ostracizing her from the tribe. What did Laura ever do to Shambo (other than the silly little fight after Shambo exiled Laura and lost her water bottle). Black Russell was the leader who exiled Shambo twice. We saw Shambo dissing Galu slightly more than the reverse. And we've seen the guys diss Shambo as much as the girls. Tonight, Shambo became vengeful megabitch. No strategic reflection or why she wanted Laura out. Just venom. |

I think this is my first post in Edgic all season (I've missed it), but I've just been so busy I haven't had time. And some of the ratings are just
such a surprise to me this time around.
(All vis numbers are approximate) Brett - UTR2 Almost won immunity, talked a little bit to his fellow Galus. Wow, he's the male Catalie. Dave - MOR3 Was involved in Russell's hidden immunity idol search. Talked with Galus about the plans (and called dumb by John, light N potential). Shared thoughts on tiebreaker, willing to take a chance He was involved in major parts of the story with commentary. Classic MOR. Jaison - UTR2 or MOR2 Involved in a lot of strategy talk, specifically with Monica. Seems similar to Mick's edit, but he did the most talking. I could see either way, leaning MOR. John - CP4 Weighed out all his options, inluded his relationship to Shambo, and narrated the plan and his decision with it. I see no N, his worries about the votes were practical. Laura - CPN4 or MORN4 The major target of the episode, N for all the content slandering her. She showed a little bit of insight, but when compared to how central she was to the story, it was minimal. Leaning MORN. Mick - UTR2 Kinda was shown talking to people... kinda. Def less content than Jaison. Won immunity, which was not central to the story. Monica - CP3 Had her plan to save Laura, seen conspiring with Foa Foa. Actual insight involving why she was scheming, Monica talked about Monica. I appreciate her smarts. Natalie - UTRP1 Was the boot target. What stood out was her grateful narration about the reward. Gets her the P but not central to the story. Russell - CP5 Duh. We were in his head every step that he took. And he sure takes a lot of them. Shambo - OTTN4 Evil cackling, set against Laura. Wants to vote Laura out, really hates Laura. Even if Laura was negative, Shambo can be too. See Sugar versus Randy during Gabon. Both earned N ratings. This episode was intriguing though. I am most curious about what Jaison's and Laura's concensus will be (even though Laura's doesn't really matter). The winner's choices sure are shot to hell though, aren't they? There's Russell. He's a dominating presence like Todd, Earl, and Yul but he breaks all visibilities precedents and is uncommonly negative. There's Jaison. He's got solid ratings and numbers, but had a nothing special first episode and had a nasty OTTN/MORN part of the season. There's Mick. He was really good. Until merge. UTR in the merge kills you, just ask, oh, I don't know, Bob, Parvati, Todd, JT, and Tom, all of whom earned CP strings at merge. There's Monica. She hasn't been INV1... and that's it. Nothing else either. Breaks all precedents. And then there's Natalie. She also breaks all precedents. I'm sticking by Jaison. He's the next best thing that not Russell, and I feel that overly dominant airtime is deceiving. I'd be confident in him if he'd be getting CPs, but he's not. So Russell is still creeping in my mind. I cannot fathom that super distraction winning. It would be... revolutionary. |

Brett - UTR2
Dave - MORN3 Jaison - MOR2 John - CP(N?)4 Laura - CP4 (What did she say that was so negative?) Mick - UTR2 Monica - CP4 Natalie - UTRP2 (I'm bumping her to a two vis. her and Mick were equally visable) Russell - CP5 (Or OTT?) Shambo - OTTN4 Nat's still my winner pick.

craig wrote:I'm not saying Laura actually did anything to Shambo. That's just what the editing has been trying to suggest by beating us over and over with. I agree with you that in reality Laura probably didn't actually do anything to Shambo and that Shambo is just a loopy bitch who made excuses for her shitty social game. That doesn't mean the editors are going to show the same thing, though, and they've been clearly supporting Shambo all season while setting up Laura as the villain. Editing doesn't always match reality, which should be obvious to most edgicers, and I believe the Laura/Shambo feud to be one of those occasions. Thus I think Shambo is P, even if she is a fucking idiot. astroline wrote:It's the start of Brett's epic comeback victory. Of course after a slow start, he becomes a huge character during part 3 of the merge, taking pictures of other big characters like he's watching over them, manipulating them, controlling them. That's the season's big revelation, that the most invisible guy there has been controlling everyone the entire time. The sad thing is, I think it's one of the more feasible winner's edit explanations we have this season. |

Updating Russell's Visibility summary (using Warrior's data to calculate what his Visibility would be if it were not constrained at 5).

I don't get how Natalie was less visible than everyone. I distinctly remember her confessional about the reward and if I could pick one person that the
reward challenge revolved around: it'd be her. And she was also talked a lot about with Galu for Tribal Council.
