Episode One- *entire opening episode is very similar to both JT and Bob's
"I do have leadership qualities. In the operating room, you have to make snap decisions. It takes more than a note from mom to get through med school and residency."
"Ben's an interesting chap… He shows up to camp and the guy's like "All eyes to me!" The leadership thing is difficult and I'm still trying to sort out exactly how to run it. If he wants to step up and take control of things, you know what? Have at it my friend because he will paint his own target."
Episode Two-
"As a physician myself, you always have to consider the worst case scenario and, in Mike's case, it's probably a big heart attack." After they said goodbye to Mike, Mick's confessional went on: "I was privy to the conversation that Mike had with the physician there and I think she absolutely made the right decision. With Mike gone and Marisa gone and another tribal council, you know, I'd like to say we can push though this but it doesn't bode well for us." *reminding us that he's a doctor again--so it has gone beyond the first episode whoever said that it didn't! *Foa Foa needs a miracle, we have to be hopeful
"Tonight, I think Betsy's going home. We need to focus on challenges and she is considered the weakest link right now. Ben getting kicked out of challenges, him waking up and chopping wood, his big altercation with Yasmin, those are 3 big strikes so, I don't know if he has a lot of friends left."
Episode Three-
"At the end of the challenge, the winning tribe got to pick someone to come over to our tribe so Russell chose Shambo. Totally different vibe than Yasmin. I mean…we'd like to adopt her. She's just great energy, she's just good people."
"Of course, she's here for a reason. She's here to find the immunity idol and to get information to take back to her tribe which she claims she isn't super-tight with. You have to assume someone's lying always." *similar to him questioning Monica's motives... he's aware
"So, Russell and Liz are adamant about voting Ashley out but that worries me because I am definitely loyal to Jaison."
Episode Four-
"We just got tree mail and it says that I need to choose 2 people to go on a mission which may or may not lead us in having a little bit more food. Obviously, I want to bring people who are strong in some sort of challenge situation. So, I will be taking Russell because he is good at strategizing. Natalie is good with puzzles and things of that nature so I thought it was perfect."
"Russell's ball knocks mine closest and I can taste the chicken in my mouth. Dave has the final ball, we have the closest ball to the flag. I'm looking at the chicken and I'm stoked. This is finally something we can bring back. We're finally going to win. It's so demoralizing. I'm so tired of losing to these guys. It totally split me in half to see Galu walk off with those chickens. It so ludicrous that we can't even pull off freakin' bocce ball." *again this Foa Foa needs a miracle story and Mick gets all the soundbites for it
Episode Five-
"I was surprised; I thought Ashley would be just fine in today's challenge but she's the one that lost it for us…It's not something that's going to hurt you, it just tastes bad. She's not carrying her weight."
"We have to send somebody home tonight. Because the guys are pretty tight, possibly Liz, possibly Ashley or Natalie. I'll play it by ear." *this has been Mick's strategy--he's playing it by ear, no need to show him as some high-visibility strategist
Episode Six-
"Since day 10, this is day 15 now, we've been soaked. It's been pretty bad for the last several nights. There was some envy last night when Ashley went home. There was a little tinge of jealousy. I was like: Oh Man! You know…"
"I probably look like some crazy person but, basically, this spot is pretty good cover…My body heat kind of keeps this little corner warm. The shelter has so many gaps in it that, when it rains this hard, it pours right through… I'm doing the best I can to stay semi-warm and out of the rain. Just trying to get through this." *similar to JT, this doubt that they have everything stacked against him, but he's waiting patiently for home and is being optimistic
Episode Seven-
"We just walked away, losing again. Is there's a jinx or some sort of curse on Foa Foa? I don't know but I'm starting to be superstitious at this point *again this doubt on Foa Foa he brings upon himself
Episode Eight-
"I can't even tell you the sense of relief that reading it was the merge. As soon as I got the news out of my mouth, I could tell you that it was going to be a hell of a good day." *he remained patient and optimistic, and he's made it through! I assure you it will be one hell of a good ending for you, Mick
Episode Nine-
"Russell found the idol. It's unbelievable how he finds these things and so quickly too. He has a keen mind for it. I'm excited to see what happens at tribal council. We are hoping to make a big dent in Galu today and put a dent in that arrogance and that condescending, patronizing attitude they have towards us." *continued fight aganst Galu, stemming from his "We welcome it" to Erik at the E6 TC
Episode Ten-
"I don't know how much Foa Foa can trust Monica, I mean, she seems legit but there's no telling if it's just Laura getting her to be a little snake in the grass and get information, which seems almost equally as likely." *after Monica's confessional about how she's going to lie, she goes to each Foa Foa, but only Mick gets the confessional about how he's suspicious of her actions (again he's playing it by ear--he's listening and watching... similar to that interesting manipulation shot in Episode One of Russell and Marisa talking and Mick staring even though he wasn't actually there)
I hope people take the time to actually review his confessionals. I think it is unfair to say (regardless of his perosonality) that his content has been bland and unwinnerlike. He has multiple things going on with his edit, from strategy to connection to the prime story: Foa Foa VS. Galu
