He's an idiot.
His only chance is for Galu to rally and take the gamble. Foa Foa are very tight ... fuck, they even say as much at every opportunity. "We're a minority, we have to stick together!". He recognizes that Shambo is already over with them, so that makes 5 against 4. He's not going to be able to do anything about that, especially since he's the strongest physically. Not only that, he should have let himself get voted for. If so, he had 4 people willing to draw rocks and he himself wouldn't have to take that risk. He has a stupid grasp on the game (ie Let's vote out Monica because if not, Monica/Laura will team up with Mick/Nat/Russ. Let's forget the fact that Kelly is with Mon/Laura, and Shambo has already flipped. And that blindsiding Laura insures she flips over to FOUR Foa Foa's which is just what he was afraid of in the first place). Dumbass douche. |

Jaison/Mick/Natalie probably will stick together, but Russ might not. They are his closest allies, but he is also playing to win MUCH harder than any of them,
and if he felt that his best option to win was not with them, he would cut them off instantly. John set himself up as a very good goat to take to the end,
since he just pissed off most of Galu, and Shambo is already an excellent goat, so it wouldn't be that unreasonable to think that Russ would figure out
that he should go to the F3 with them over the incredibly social and likable Natalie, the driven and somewhat likable Jaison, and golden-boy Mick. If Russ
could get John and Sham to F6 with the foas, he could use the idol to effectively guarantee the only F3 that gives him a possibility of a win (with the
exception of randomly having Monica in there instead of Sham or John). Russell can't win otherwise.
Then again, I think that John probably assumed that Russell took into consideration jury management in his strategy, which he clearly has not. Russell is great at pissing off juries, which means he can't even win the game, and if he boots John or Sham, then he's just digging his own grave for 3rd place. |

I say smart move, no use risking a 1/7 chance of getting booted to save Laura. As others have pointed out 4 of the other 6 options don't work in his favor
either(ie if Russel and Jaison, both don't pick the bad ball, I would argue it almost a case any of the other 4 people besides those 2 get the bad ball he
comes out worse with them gone then Laura)

umm...there was no risk of him going home since NO ONE WROTE HIS NAME DOWN. it was against nat and laura. BOTH times. I think everyone pretty much knew
monica's plan was a bust b4 tribal council, and that all the FOA foa were voting for Laura and not him, SINCE RUSS TOLD JOHN this.
Wouldn't it have been better to take the 50/50 shot? Now you're sixth at the totem pole of FOA FOA since you're a bigger threat than Shambo, and everyone in galu hates you. Had you gone with the flipping of the coin, 50% chance that you'll get rid of Nat, you'll have a 5 to 4 majority if sham sticks with FOA FOA and still the loyalty of 4 other people (instead of the loyalty of none). And you'll at least get top 5 if not higher, which according to my calculations is a higher placement than 6th. If Laura went home instead you'll be down to 4 to FOA FOA's 5. BUT Shambo's revenge is fulfilled which is what her main objective was this whole time (that's why she didn't vote for Kelly with FOA FOA during the last vote since it wasn't her objective, meaning it wasn't LAURA) and allegiance up for grabs. But then again that's not a safe bet as well. But with this move, NOw you have ABSOLUTELY no shot, no loyalties, and at best 6th. But taking the risk of being in the minority if laura picked the rock, at least you ALSO had a 50% chance of having a shot at top 5 maybe more (with luck on the challenges and other possible scenarios) if Nat picked the rock. I fail to see how you bettered your standing with this move. I guess now the only advantage is you'll be 2nd to last galu to be voted out instead of getting voted out 1st, 2nd, or 3rd galu, had you stuck with your vote for natalie the 2nd time, and the fates deemed it be that laura gets the rock not nat. But that's how "junior varsity" survivor player plays. playing not to lose, not playing to win it all |

Yeah.....there was 2 voting sessions, one of which he got to see b4 placing his next one, for him to be sure that NO ONE WROTe HIS NAME DOWN. He didn't
vote for laura the 2nd time because he was afraid of getting 4 votes from FOA FOA which Jeff explicitely said wasn't allowed. You can only vote for NAT or
LAura the 2nd time.
