i thought last night's episode was the worst one ever (maybe excluding the gizzy sex stuff. ick). i would prefer 100 more dead denny episodes to this shit.
it's really lost all of its heart for me. the core of grey's anatomy was meredith grey and the four interns around her. george is dead, izzy is awol and that has basically crippled alex's storyline. xtina still has some good stuff, but meredith is hardly seen, and when she is, i don't feel like the story lines are really compelling or true to her character. the entire storyline felt rushed and disjointed to me. it's obvious that shonda is trying to get us invested in this idea of "grey's anatomy: the next generation" or whatever where we no longer concentrate on the five original characters. i mean, heigel is for sure leaving, knight is gone and dempsey and oh will not stay forever. if dempsey leaves, i'm not sure the meredith grey character can really stay, considering her bond with the shephard character. unfortunately, the writing has just been so uneven. i loved the arizona centered episode a few weeks ago and i think mark and lexie are a great couple, but their storylines are only good about 1/3 of the time. hunt is getting on my nerves, to be honest. i think they had a lot of potential to go deeper with his character, and shonda has blown it. the new surgeon is actually intriguing. all the mercy westers could join dr. hahn in the parking garage and i'd never miss them. the chief's struggles may be the one redeeming plotline in this. |

I don't see the appeal of Avery. He's a boy and Hunt's a man. That's what makes him sexy to me. To each their own I guess.

At the dinner table, someone asked Arizona about Callie, and she said she was working. And everyone "aww-ed" So it didn't go totally unmentioned. Didn't seem all that odd to me - seemed more odd that more of these docs WEREN'T working. Callie was the only attending manning the whole hospital??!! lol No wonder she had to work!Did this actually happen and I completely missed it? Wow. Still annoying b/c I wanted to see Arizona/Callie spend the holidays together but at least it was explained and I'm apparently just hard of hearing. At least they kissed at Thanksgiving before little Grey maimed herself, lol. They need some hot make out action a la Christina and Hunt though. All we get is implied sex and small pecks. |

Yeah, it did happen. Calilie was working.
I agree with others with saying this episode was way disjointed and rushed. Why do all the holidays in one episode? |

Yeah, I agree that the episode was a mess. You can do three-holidays in one episode, but not this way, it was disjointed and way too soapy.
I was glad all the patients lived (for a change.) I liked Christina having to face what "getting a heart" means, and that little aside wasn't too bad. I can't stand Hunt, and I don't think his acting is that great either, he always seems to be on overdrive, no subtlety. I don't see the chemistry, it's a waste of Yang, and I am sick of his issues. I did like (in spite of his overacting, she saved it) the scene with him and the cardiogoddess. I wanted him to leave with her too, except I am kind of liking her. Wow, that Silent Night version was just beautiful. I HATED Baily and her dad causing a scene at dinner...no matter what the issues, WHO DOES THAT in a room full of co-workers? A family dinner mess? Sure, but you just don't do that kind of crap in company. I didn't buy it, I didn't like Baily's speech--it was a Brothers and Sisters episode gone wrong, with none of the humor or the realistic angst. It was just awkward. Another Shonda mess of an episode. |

and YES, we need more Callie and Arizona lovin'! They are by FAR my favorite couple...
OH, and Mark's daughter - WHATEVS. I can't stand the actress and I know I'm going to hate the storyline.

Considering this is the same show that had ghost sex, a bomb exploding some guy, a transplant patient getting his LVAD cut because an intern (who should have
been kicked out of medicine) he was engaged to wanted to steal a heart, and various other ridiculous stuff, I find it hilarious that people are saying Hunt and
Christina are too dramatic. And while Jackson is hot, I personally think he and Christina would not be hot together.

It's the acting on Kevin's part that makes it "overly dramatic" for me. He's on small screen, not a stage, and it just seems
over-the-top.
I know I am probably alone in this, but I have always wanted to see Christina paired with someone who is her total opposite, and play the laughs and the romance and issues she would have with that. I am tired of watching her bang her bosses and I would like to see a whole new side of her. Some blue collar guy, hot, fun, not ambitious (at least not the way Christina is) and maybe an artist or craftsman of some kind--huge heart, kind of sappy or romantic or funny...just an attraction that on-paper might not make sense, but that works her heart. Let the issues be their differences, instead of more angst. Christina has plenty of angst to offer already. To tie him with the hospital, either let him work their as a janitor or EMT or office guy, and the reveal of his "worthy" side will be the artistic/craftsman/music/whatever side later. The whole woman in the relationship with the power job while the boyfriend/husband has an average job and is fine with that could really give Yang so much to play. HER issues (embarrassment, etc with her friends or co-workers) while blissful or genuinely happy while she's alone with him could be really cool. |

and YES, we need more Callie and Arizona lovin'! They are by FAR my favorite couple...X Seriously, everyone else in the hospital gets to constantly tongue each other and fuck in on call rooms and these two get nothing. Last season we got 2 kisses on the lips and naked pizza that was it and this season all we've gotten is a few hugs, minimal pecks on the cheek and the admittedly adorable "I love yous." You can't tell me lesbians don't make out once it a while. I mean I get that they're both chicks and their relationship will be somewhat different from a hetero one in that respect b/c there's no idiot man but its so blatantly obvious that these two aren't more physically affectionate w/ each other b/c ABC is riding a thin line and they don't want to turn people off. Its just yet another unrealistic Grey's storyline, I mean you have two people who obviously love each other very much and have a lot of chemistry (more so than many of the other hot and heavy couples) but they never kiss, yeah okay. |

Oh for God sake, can you please shut the fuck up about Callie and Arizona? We get it, they're your favorite couple. They're one of my favorites too,
but they're not the center of the show. And I would expect a grown person to realize than we won't see too much Callie/Arizona action because ABC
doesn't want to piss off the conservative crowd.

I guess I didn't blatantly come out and say ABC doesn't want to piss off conservatives but yes, I do get why they're doing it, I just think its a poor excuse. I didn't realize prime-time TV shows involving gratuitous sex and blood and guts had to cater to uber conservatives. Also I'm aware that they're not the central characters but I obviously think they're a hell of a lot more interesting than the likes of Izzie, Meredith, Derek, Mercy West people, the Chief etc. This show could be all Callie/Arizona, Mark/Lexie, Christina/Owen/Teddy/Avery, Alex and Bailey all the time and I wouldn't bat an eyelash. I've seen a lot of comments from people (not here in particular) who hate that Izzie is gone and hate that they don't only focus on the original 5 anymore and I just can't fathom why they want to see those bore whores over the aforementioned characters. Perhaps I'm a little over zealous (and by perhaps I mean I definitely am) but barely anyone posts in here anymore, I feel like I'm talking to myself and 5 other people, most of whom seem to enjoy Callie and Arizona too (Blueberry not included obviously :P). |

I'll take Shonda's job and effective immediately I would make these changes:
-Give the bitch what she wants and fire Katherine Heigl -Get Derek to knock Meredith up and have them move away to have lots of babies and be happy somewhere else -Fire all the Mercy West doctors except Reed, she can stay and comfort Alex -Make it mandatory for Avery and Alex to work shirtless and kangaroo hold cute babies at least 75% of the time -More Callie and Arizona, conservatives be damned, there will be making out -Have the Chief finally come to his senses, step down and go home to Adele, only to return periodically to visit his friends -More hot Owen and Christina scenes, maybe some more love-triangle fun involving Avery drunkenly making out with Christina -More Teddy, I don't want to make it a love square so we will find her a new love interest after she gets over Owen -Stacy McKee will get to write more episodes (she wrote Invest in Love), Krista Vernoff will write less episodes (she wrote Holidaze) -Sloan's daughter's mother will call and tell her to come home, she is such a vapid twat that she will stop caring about her father and never return -Bailey will get a new man, any suggestions? -No ghosts or ghost sex or Denny -I will try to be somewhat more realistic but I don't want to ruin Grey's, it'd probably be boring will some of the more OTT storylines -Sara Ramirez will sing Just rewatched the dinner scene, that was very blink and you'll miss it. All Derek says is "Callie?" and Arizona says "working" and he replies "Aww, that's too bad." Although I'm still surprised I didn't hear it the first time.

So if you fire all the Mercy West docs except for Reed, how will Avery stay around?
Also if Reed & Avery stay, effectively you're just firing Charles |

I should have just said I'll fire the caveman then.
Presumably though other doctors from Mercy West moved over to SG in the merger, I mean 4 doctors is hardly a merger and reason to change your hospital's name, lol. I'll also re-hire Arizona's favourite scrub nurse and nurse Olivia. |
