I realized that I've always had a huge girl crush on Ellen. And yeah, I was bawling when she and Jo bit it. But what a way to go!

Misogynist? That is just ridiculous.
This is not a show about GIRL POWER. There was NEVER a female lead, there never WILL be a female lead and all sorts of people come and fucking go in this show. IT IS THE NATURE OF THE SHOW FOR PEOPLE TO DIE. If you are going to get all pissy and stampy of foot over Jo and Ellen biting it, you shouldn't bother watching the show anymore. Jesus fucking Christ. I would have liked to think that people would get that the only constants in the show are SAM and DEAN. |

On the other side of the misogyny argument, I feel that at least all the major female roles on this show are strong roles, they are not whiny victims who need saving by Sam & Dean. If anything, this show is promoting tough, strong and independent women (until their eventual demise, of course).This. I was going to write something very similar when I first saw the whining. I think there had to be sacrifices and major game changing last night. The fans were invested in Ellen and Jo, not in any of the other random hunters. It probably had to be Bobby or those two and Bobby is a tragic enough figure alive... People around the boys die. Period. |

I wasn't invested in either of those two. I thought Jo was annoying as all fuck.
I would have been choked if Bobby had died but I wouldn't have whined like a poodle about it. Now Castiel, on the other hand, must.never.die. |

I am re-watching Thursday's episode (yay for having a cold and a fever!) and the first 10 minutes are sheer brilliance. The whole episode is just so
fucking good.
This is not the cold medicine talking! Casteil doing shots was just gold, Jerry, GOLD! |

The spoiler, which is very mild, discusses what they're doing for the 100th ep.
Wow. 100 eps! That's the magic number for syndication, right? |

so yeah, i've just caught up on the season over the past couple days. not sure why i wait for them to pile up because this is like MY FAVORITE SHOW in the
world right now and i hardly ever walk away from an episode not having enjoyed it, but that's just how it is.

I understand the outrage, but let's face it: if this is the final season, they got a first class heroe send-off. Better that than just having them silently
written out. Plus, it's not like Jo was being utilized all that much, much to my personal dismay.
Beside, on this show, if the writers decide to make somebody dead be not dead again, it's easy enought to do.... |

Piranhahaha wrote: that thought was TOTALLy in the back of my mind! it's kind of like a boy cried wolf scenario (but also one of the benefits of doing a show about the supernatural) that once someone dies there's never a guarantee they're gone forever. especially since right i watched the epis on CW.com & after they aired some Q&A from a convention where the producer pointed out that most of the main people on the show had been dead at some point! |
