If it really bugs you, wait 20 years for the next successful musical show (if one considers 'Fame' successful). It DOES annoy me, yet as stated, I like enough of the show, and what it is in general, that I keep on going. There are times when I walk away, however. I really want to support this, so I do. I just have a critical brain. And yes, I was going to say that Nip/Tuck has suffered the same tonal inconsistencies (and to me, it ruined RWS... I was starting to like it but it is hard to follow a 2 hour film with no clear tone). And it's not that I am high brow with musicals. Hell, I LIKED Cop Rock. I just have trouble when ANY show is inconsistent or does not follow its own logic. End of rant.
