In addition to that, Adam didn't want to answer any question that would show he supported civil rights for gays because it's too "political". And Adam is going to accuse someone else of holding gays back because they have a problem with these requests?

What I take issue with is his not wanting to specifically talk about equal rights. The thing with the editor and Adam being a spokesperson is a separate issue, and that was the editor's feeling, not mine. I'm talking about Adam's response about specifically asking his team to tell the interviewer not to ask questions about the March on WA. He really is becoming more of an asshole everytime he opens his mouth. If he was straight and did that, I'd think he was a homophobic dick. So it's almost even worse that he is gay and did that.

He doesn't equate answering a simple question about the march to being some kind of political activist which is how Lambert seems to be framing the situation. Reading comprehension is your friend. He's saying shit like I'm not a politician so I don't need to talk about it but really he doesn't even need to get into any kind of political discussion to simply say he thinks its great that there was a march for equality. No one's saying he's a politician, the problem is that he should care about equal rights. Everyone should care about the issue, gay or straight whether they're a politician or not.
