Alright my post was done in a rush because i didn't have proper time to respond bergdogg. However after reading your original post and your input. I don't agree with your assessment that Laura fucked Laura.
1. Laura didn't put up a fight to protect Eric was because he was targeting Monica and he was all over the place. There was defiantly lack communication between Eric and others. Anyway Laura got inside information from Brett that Eric, Shambo and John were targeting her before the merge. Actually it was more like Shambo and John as in post game interviews Eric said: he could work with Laura and that he respected Laura. Anyway despite Eric departure, Laura was still in charge and with majority. Galu minus Shambo had the number to vote out Russell. John was still on board during that episode. How in earth could she think that Russell was going to find the idol second time without a clue. This very suspicious to me but i blame the producer for doing a bad job in hiding the idol then in Russell finding it. Without Russell having the idol, he would have been gone then Foa Foa fight would have fall apart. Laura had 4 strong allies Brett, Kelly, Monica and Dave. She only needed John for one more vote and her Galu alliance would be in majority and most likely Laura, Dave and Brett in final 3. However Russell finding the second idol so easily in my opinion ruined the game. No player should be able to find 2 idols without any clues.

2. Laura did not put up a cocky attitude toward Russell. Not only did she stood up for herself but stood up for other strong woman that had to leave the game because of Russell the woman-hater. She was a better player then Russell in almost every way. Russell told her that Ben had the idol when Laura was with Foa Foa but when they merge Russel showed her the idol. Duh Russell just proved to her, he was a liar and a snake. Also when was Laura cocky toward other Foa Foas. I didn't see it. Reason why Laura was a target was because she was a threat for playing the game well both strategically and physically.

3. If what Laura is telling us in post game interviews that Shambo was blaming Laura for actions done by other players well then Shambo is really something. I am going to hold my tongue until we get more information from other players. It is coming more and more clear that Shambo was jealous of Laura. Laura was seen as the strong woman in Galu and Shambo wasn't. If any Laura biggest mistake was not throw a challenge and take out Shambo before the merge. She would have gotten rid off a player that had a grudge and same time Liz would have replaced Shambo in the merge.

I agree Monica plan was stupid but it was last minute act to save Laura. However Laura days was over when Kelly got the boot instead of the guy that should have gone Russell. Laura was one episode from securing her final 3 spot.
Conclusion Laura was screwed by the producer because they made it easy for Russell to find the second idol because they knew he was in trouble. Also they probably were so impressed when he found the first one that they wanted to see if he could pull it again. They got their wish at expense of the game.
