BTW "Scars" sounds amazing and I hope she releases it. I think it will be a huge hit. "Holiday" sounds like Pink to me.

If I closed my eyes I'd swear I was listening to Pink. The resemblance in their voices is uncanny.
Pink has been one of my favorite artists since her first album so this is not a bad comparison I'm just curious how that will work for Allison on radio because people might not realize it's not Pink when requesting and if they ask for "pink's new song" that could be an issue. Don't Waste the Pretty sounds just like a song Pink would sing too....probably why I loved it... |

Radio does song sample research. They won't be determining their playlists based on the fraction of people who can't tell the difference between
Allison and Pink, so no need to fret any longer. There are much bigger hurdles than that to get radio play. Like the label's own research, promotional
budget and dedicated manpower .

I've decided to check out Allison's album. I didn't care for the first single but I always try to be open minded and sample albums from a variety
of AI alum, even ones I wasn't super down with on the show.
I already listened to Kris' and loved it and some of you might remember I hated him at the start of AI8, and I also hated Allison to start so there's hope for her. I liked Adam on AI8 and I can't even bring myself to listen to his album samples b/c I'm so horrified by "For Your Entertainment." I couldn't even get through half of Gokey's single and there's no hope for that album, not that any of you will be surprised. Here's to Allison's album being good and selling way, way, way more than Gokey's even though he unfortunately beat her. |

You might have a point about this Pink thing. When Kelly came out with Miss Independent the haters said she sounded just like Xtina. Then everybody requested
"Xtina's new song" on the radio and Kelly's career ended before it really began. I cried a lot about that. Now I'm seriously worried
about Allison.
I'm going to listen to Pink's new song again to console myself. OMG! I meant Allison's new song. |

What does it matter if you're a fan or a hater when you say it? If it is an issue, then it is an issue regardless of how you feel about her. You said
Allison sounds like Pink. You raised that as potentially being a negatively impacting factor for her. If you want to label that as "curious" rather
than "worried" so be it.
Kelly's songs have been compared to a good number of other popular singers from her first single to her latest single. It never hurt her. Daughtry sounds like Nickelback. It didn't hurt him. Carrie sounds like every other generic country singer under the sun. That only seems to have helped her. So, it doesn't appear to be an issue that amounts to much where radio play is concerned. |

I can't believe the utter lack of buzz about this cd. Her management needs to get on the ball and get her out there doing some major promo or this cd is
going to tank major.

Listen to Allison's entire album now.
I'm not as impressed with the full versions as I was the clips. I'm still buying the album but it likely won't be one I listen to in heavy rotation. |
