Does anyone else see the similarities between the top three in both of these seasons?

How is it possible to compare the most likable final 3 to the least?

Apparently it's very easily possible...

Does anyone else see the similarities between the top three in Vanuatu and Amazon?
Chris is Jenna Twila is Matthew Scout is Rob C Oh and I see a little bit of the China and Thailand thing. Maybe it is meant to be. |

Yes Shred I do.
Likability is subjective with all contestants. Who I like doesn't matter, it's how the contestants relationships to the other contestants is what truly matters. |

I always felt how some of the seasons ended was odd
Jenna winning Amazon when Amazon is known for the Amazon women Chris winning Vanuatu when it's known for men being head of the island. The Aitu 4, none of them being white in Survivors first ever battle of the races Tom being the strongest start to finish and being the one to win the war season. Stephenie being the last Ulong in the war season. And yes likability is subjective. |

It's not the same thing. Todd was likeable. He was also a real strategist. He made deals, broke them, made personal friendships, blindsided people, brought
people on his side when there was a switch, put targets on other people besides himself, recovered from losing an ally in the switch, was able to do damage
control, and thought of elaborate strategic plans. He didn't just form an alliance and take it to the end. It wasn't that easy for him.
You just compared my favorite player ever to my least favorite, my favorite season to my least favorite, and my favorite final three to my least favorite. ETA: Courtney's remarks were witty and funny, completely unlike Clay's. |

However, I don't think Todd's win was nearly as easy as he made it look. I just think that's how good he was. He covered his bases and position himself very well with every player, and get in good with everyone ahead of time so that they wouldn't go against him. He was good at playing on peope's emotions too. When PG and Erik tried to get Denise to flip, when it was so obvious before that, Todd's personal relationship with her, and him telling her how trustworthy she is right before TC was what stopped her from turning against him. At the reunion she said she wouldn't have minded going against Courtney, but she would not have gone against Todd. He also made a deal with James with the idols, and before TC, (which wasn't aired) he had a plan to solidify the trust to make sure he wouldn't play one. It's stuff like that that required him to do things to get his allies to stay with him. I just think he was that good that he made it look easy. |

I hate anyone who calls Todd a strategist. Camera hog does not make them a good player. A good player with his ass on the line would have voted for PG during
James's boot. NEVER compare Heidik to Todd.

True, but Brian did the same thing. He pulled Helen away from joining a female alliance by appealing to her sense of work ethic. He was always one of the first people up every morning at camp. He appealed to Ted at least partially through a false appeal to multiculturalism. He made friends with Clay. He made friends with Jan. He basically brainwashed everyone into not trusting Jake. It wasn't easy for him either. |

Thailand = Easily the worst season ever
China = Easily the best season ever I don't see the similarities. Except that Shii Ann and PG were both azn hotties. Also, Todd is a godd and Brian is a piece of turd. |

I liked China a lot...until episode 6 where the idol took up more air time than any contestant until James left. Still, it was very refreshing compared to the
two terrible previous seasons...until the finale. Listening to Denise whine for 45 minutes/Amanda's breakdown which completely made my opinions about her
invalid killed the season. Yes, the worst finale of all time (second worst episode of all time before Samoa) made me dislike an entire season. You have to end
an a good note. (Not talking about the winner.)

I don't like China because you can see powerlines in the background and that it takes place only a few miles away from a large city.
I did like the cast somewhat, but as TS said, the Hidden Immunity Idol ruins everything. |

No. China's intro was the first to cut out people who weren't in the game anymore.

Thailandsurvivor wrote: Which Samoa episodes would you shove down below the China finale and Alexis' boot? Granted this season sucks, but the only episodes in themselves that were truly horrible were the premeire, Kelly's boot and Laura's boot, imo. Most of the rest of them were just meh/bad. Ben's boot and Erik's boot were just good, and Russell's evacuation was great. |

Erik's boot was absolutely terrible. "Let's show Russell talking to every single person in the damn cast." Don't think it's worse
than the other two, but the first three episodes (where Galu was completely ignored) might take the cake. The second at least had Yasmin/Ben's fight, so
I'd most likely say the premiere. But yeah, nothing will ever be worse than James's MedEvac/Alexis's boot.
