We all know that the phone was blatant product placement but could they really have put in something any more useless to the show??
-If you are giving the survivors something to take pictures, there are these great things called CAMERAS that you can use to take pictures. Not a fucking phone whose camera-taking capabilities are probably not that great, especially vs. an actual camera
-Why would the survivors need to take pictures to make memories?? THEY ARE ON A FUCKING TV SHOW BEING FILMED 24-7!!!! Just watch the episode the next day...duh
-Even if they weren't being filmed and indeed needed the phone to make memories, what happens to the phone? Are they expected to keep it for the rest of the show, bring it home with them and then remember to use the phone to upload the pictures to their computers?
-The survivors were given A PHONE!!!!!! But calling people somehow didn't seem to factor into anything
-Who actually gets to keep the phone???
So yes, that phone was retarded on many levels
