The most important scene of the season is the Betsy / Natalie / Russell scene at the end of episode 1 (The "womens intuition" scene). One of the 3 people in that scene are to win the game. Obviously, at first, people thought the scene was about Betsy. Now looking at it though, Natalie and Russell were the other 2 players featured prominently and its quite clear from the edit and end game ties that these are the top 2 players this season.
Mick is irrelevant looking at his edit since the merge and his absence from this scene.
Wait what? I mean I support Natalie as a winners pick and all but Natalie was not one of the most prominent people in this scene, Ashley was. Was Nat a significant part of it yes. And I think it is important that she was scene there, but she was not the most important person involved.
I was referring to the beach scene.
Also interesting is the placement of that scene, its right after Russell's infamous "they are all my puppets" quote - interesting to see that Mike, Ben, Ashley, Mick etc all in a sequence after that comment. Jaison and Liz, Marisa (boot), Betsy (Boot #2) and Natalie were not in that clip sequence.
You would have gotten away with this lie had I not actually written an analysis of it during the first week. Mick was not shown in this sequence. The following were:
*confessional begins* "My tribe will do anything I tell them to do"
-Russell shakes hands with Jaison
"Because they're just stupid"
-Russell bumps fists with Natalie
-Russell tells Ben it's Marisa, Ben says he hates her
"Mick's the leader of the tribe"
-Shot of Mick sitting all alone in the shelter
"But I'm the one in charge of this camp, you can call me the puppet master, they can be my little puppets"
-Russell shakes hands with Ashley
"They'll run when I tell them to run"
-Russell bumps fists with Mike
"They'll walk when I tell them to walk"
-Ben, Ashley, and Russell put their hands in together
"When I'm done with them, I'll just throw them in the trash"
The next scene is Betsy telling Natalie she doesn't trust Russell because of her gut.. the scene had zero to do with Natalie
So the following people are his puppets:
-Mike
-Jaison
-Natalie
-Ben
-Ashley
The following were not shown: Marisa, Betsy, Liz, and Mick
Mick is the only person who wasn't directly linked to being a follower of Russell in the first episode of those remaining.
"Mick's the leader of the tribe"
-Shot of Mick sitting all alone in the shelter
"But I'm the one in charge of this camp, you can call me the puppet master, they can be my little puppets"
How is "Mick's the leader of the tribe... But I'm the one in charge of this camp..." not show Mick to be a puppet leader?
