Again, we see hate-filled people supposedly representing religion and GOD hisself. Nice. Islamists aren't the only fanatics out there! How do these people
sleep at night?

I like this quote from Fred Phelps: "Mr. Rogers gave aid and comfort to homosexuals. He was a man who preached tolerance of all sorts of people in ways that directly contradicted the Bible. His syrupy teachings led millions astray. He was a wuss and he was an enabler of wusses." |

God does not hate homosexuals. I just asked and he denied this allegation.

Y'all should check out FredPhelps.com. Looks like someone hijacked ol'
Freddie's name.
This is the best part ... Phelps supported Al Gore in the 1988 Democratic Party primary election. In his 1984 Senate race, Gore opposed a "gay bill of rights" and stated that homosexuality was not something that "society should affirm". Phelps has stated that he supported Gore because of these earlier comments. According to Phelps, members of the Westboro Baptist Church helped run Gore's 1988 campaign in Kansas. Phelps' son, Fred Phelps Jr., hosted a Gore fundraiser, which Al and Tipper Gore attended, at his home in Topeka. Fred Phelps, Jr. served as a Gore delegate to the 1988 Democratic National Convention. Gore spokesman Dag Vega declined to comment; "We are not dignifying those stories with a response." |

I don't get it. Are they saying the marines are fags? I mean, the navy is a given but the marines?

I missed that part where Jesus said love thy neighbor, but stone him to death if he be a fag.
Maybe some rednecks out there could enlighten me. |

their reasoning is that the u.s. supports gay people and god doesn't like that. god is killing soldiers in iraq and afghanistan as a way to show his fury
against we homo-loving americans. to them, every dead soldier is a sign from god that we must expel gay people from our country or else we will continue to
suffer horrible casualties as punishment from god.
in reality, they are only protesting soldiers' funerals because it gets them more press. they've protested at aids and gay-bashing victims' funerals for decades, but only got a fraction of the press they do now. people just don't care as much as they do about soldiers. so, they can send a press release saying they are coming to a local soldier's funeral, get coverage in every local newspaper and TV station, and garner much more national press. and 95% of the time they don't even have to show up to the funeral to do the protest and they still get a ton of press. it's a pretty good racket they've got going. being outlandish and getting people to talk about them, even if they're ridiculing them, is exactly what they want. |
