If you're surfing for porn or using peer to peer sites a lot, then don't use IE and make sure you have a good subscription AV (I recommend Vipre), also
install Malwarebytes as a preventative measure. If you don't visit high risk sites, then you can probably get by with AVG or Avast free antivirus.
