The day Natalie loses cannot come soon enough for me. It'll put a lot of people here to shame. A lot of apologies should be made!

Whether you're looking at logical information, trends, editing intent and past models, you're making an educated guess, no matter how sure you are of your choice. No one should aplogize for getting it incorrect. However, there are retards out there taking this to the extreme and making things personal by hurling useless insults and diminishing each other's arguments. Those people should aplogize for actually doing it. |

Mick AND Natalie are both losing. Sorry. Russell H. is taking this one home, Mick is joining the ranks of Marcus/Amanda/Stephen/Eliza (and whoever you guys
pick again next season for the same role, YAY) and Natalie is most likely coming 2nd place very closely to Russell, but just not enough. Natalie's playing
a good game, Russell is playing a good game but playing it every second 24/7 out there, and Mick isn't playing at all. Or at least that's been the
overall editing patterns for the past 10 episodes.

Just a comment on the poster who said there is no footage to show of Mick at the finale if he wins. I have always noticed that the winner is virtually ignored
after the first few minutes, there is always someone else that did not win that gets more of the screen time in the finale. For example: Rupert the season
Sandra won. After the finale ends I ask myself why they don't show more of the winner at the finale? The winner gets their applause in the beginning and
the end, and that's about it. For sure if Mick or Jaison win this season we will still see multiple clips of Russell doing his thing, making his nasty
comments about his tribe. Jeff will question him and maybe question the rest of Foa Foa and Shambo to see if they are shocked about it. Natalie will get her
say, we will see some clips of her killing the rat and saying that she was using Russell to get to the end, or whatever it was that she said. Shambo will get
her questions from Jeff being the second most visible character this season. Mick will probably get a question about Russell, Jeff will ask Mick if he knew
Russell was trying to sabotage his tribe and Mick will probably laugh and say he didn't know it was that bad or something of that sort.
Mick reminds me most of Danni IF he does win. She was never ignored, but didn't really have a story except she was from the UNDERDOG TRIBE we were rooting for. I thought maybe Brandon or Gary could pull off a win, they had better edits than Danni did. But that was not the story of the season, Steph's losing was and somebody from the underdog tribe managed to get to the end and triumph. Danni was hidden more than anyone else on her tribe, yet I had a feeling about her even though I did not think she could edgically win. I see many similarities in Danni's season and this season. It doesn't mean it goes the same way, but I am pretty sure a Foa Foa wins. I can see the editing showing us that, wanting us to hope that one of them wins (minus Russell, especially if he goes negative again). A flawed edit does not matter, being UTR or a bit flat does not matter, we are supposed to root for Foa Foa. Mick just fits Edgic the best IMO, his flaws might be why he wins....he's on Foa Foa, he's hidden, never invisible, always there plugging away trying to get to the end the best that he knows how. His flaws as a leader have not been mentioned, why is that? The first episode he commented on being the leader, with a follow up of Monica saying it was bad to be a leader (in so many words) but we don't see that with Mick. If Russell thinks he's the leader and puppet master, maybe it's bad for him in the end. It could be Natalie or Jaison winning, but I think Mick's edit is a little better... not perfect, just better. Where are Warrior and FLF with their recaps of the last episode with pictures and ratings? I love those! :)

Everyone is arguing that because his visibility is so massive it means he's different and will win, but I think all that means is the editors love him and want to pimp him out for ASS2. Mick could very well be another Marcus but he does fit edgic guidelines the best right now. And really, imagine the reaction in the crowd if Russell won. He would probably get shot at. |

fat little fingers wrote:I think that's stretching the truth a bit too much to argue that what Jeff says about Foa Foa as a tribe boosts Mick's winner chances. Why can't it boost Russell/Natalie/Jaison's winner chances just as much to? fat little fingers wrote:I have to disagree. The first time they mentioned that in the recap they contrasted Russell's decision to use the idol with Erik's decision to not use his idol, and then get voted out because of it. Obviously Erik looks stupider because of that, and Russell looks better safe then sorry. In the second recap that went over the Erik vote they didn't even mention that Russell played his first idol that TC. They could have made Russell look a LOT worse for playing his idol when he didn't need to, they could have had Jeff calling Russell an idiot for playing it (instead of going "but Russell didn't have to because Natalie's plan worked"), they could have shown Natalie telling Russell that she got them to change the vote to Erik. As for what some other people have mentioned about it being bad for Russell to get the scenes of sabotaging the camp in the next episode's promo, I think we have to wait and see. The promos have been somewhat misleading this season, for example implying twice (about episode #3 and #9) that Jaison wanted Russell out, when he never even suggested voting for Russell either of those episodes, nor did he voice wanting to do so in a confessional.

Anyone else get the feeling that no matter who wins (or loses), this thread is going to be unreadable for at least a month after the finale? |

Looking at the arguments for no-confessional-til-EP04 Natalie, more-visibility-than-most-finalists-have-combined Russell, and I've-become-Brett-since-the-merge Mick, I'm surprised to see a heavy lack of discussion on Jaison, who has no major shortcomings other than his "I wanna die" comments and Monica, who has somehow managed to earn something above a toneless UTR for every episode since EP04 (joining the ranks of Shambo, Russell and Jaison as the only four who've avoided a toneless UTR in the past seven episodes). |

Nah, John FTW. If Brett were to win it would be like those few episodes on Lost season 3 when Sawyer kept saying, "Who the hell is Nikki?" You
could build up John from this point on. He made the BIG move of the game. He was the one who broke up Galu permanently, and did it on his own terms because
(in one of the best confessionals ever!) he dissected their strategic stupidity. Everything he's said in the last two episodes indicates a shrewed player
- they have given him the start of an epic and brilliant story arc that leads him to the win. He's got that EthanCute vibe going, he's willing to stab
in the back.
Yeah. John. (alas, I put this sort of analysis with my "Bob will win cuz in the "Eden" analogy he is the only thing left in Eden at the end - the Tree of Knowledge" post.) And yes, this thread will likely be unreadable for a long time after the finale, but I'll probably depart quickly because from what I understand S20 is uberspoiled. Heck, this place used to be fun. |
