6. Tom Westman (Survivor Palau)







Well, you all knew this one was coming. To be fair, a lot of people seem to be coming around to Tom on this board as of late, which is both surprising and refreshing. But there are still a good number of fanboys who are butthurt over his domination and cry every day that he was a chauvinist, homophobic bully and the worst winner ever.

Really? Let's debunk all of these one by one shall we?


Chauvinistic: How? When? Where? When did Tom ever looked down on women? A lot of his allies were women and he even complemented some of them. And interestingly enough, the women talked about forming an all-female alliance against him, so how come they don't get any flack? Tom never created a boys' club like Terry did. Maybe people making these allegations are refering to his oozing machismo. Sorry but he can't really help it. Like Bobby Jon perfectly said, Tom is a man amongst men.

Homophobic: Why? Because he didn't become BFF with Coby? Maybe some of you failed to notice, but Coby pretty much went out of his way to be the loner on Koror by constantly playing victim. He was the one who immidiately showed disdain for Tom because of course he assumed Tom was a grown jock, like the ones who made his life a living hell in high school. Sad to say, but that's his problem. There might've been instances when Tom spoke poorly of Coby, but clearly most of the tribe did too as he got on everyone's nerves. Katie didn't get along with Coby either, does that make her a homophobe too?

Bully: Because he made poor Ian quit? Again, that's Ian's problem, not Tom's. If Tom's mind games were sucessful in getting him the win, then more power to him. If you think he was condescending towards other people, it either means you probably have no spine and strong people like Tom make you want to go cry to mommy. Once again, that's your problem, not Tom's. There's no such things as bullies unless you let yourself bullied. May I remind you he won 6 to 1? If he's such a tyrant bully, seems to me like the jury would've told him to fuck off, not give him a near-unanimous win.

And finally, worst winner ever: You frickin' kidding me?? Tom's game was near perfect. He took the steering wheel, never let go of it and got people to actually respect him for doing so. Clearly that's not a popular strategy with Sucksters, but it doesn't make it any less valid and it's actually pretty hard to pull off. Then of course you have those losers here saying he was "playing against a bunch of idiots" Newsflash: A LOT of winners were playing against a bunch of idiots, kudos to them for cashing in on it. What are they supposed to do, just let themselves voted out because that would make them unworthy? I don't think the Palau cast was THAT stupid to begin with. If Tom looked like he cakewalked to the end, maybe it's because he's just that damn good. You don't have to like him, but calling him a lousy winner is really of the dumbshit statements you can make here.

5. Penny Ramsey (Survivor Thailand)





A lot of you are probably going WTF? at this old school entry, probably because you joined Sucks several years after Thailand. So in case you weren't here, let me get you up to speed. Penny was hands down the most hated castaway in Survivor history. She was called the anti-Christ and had hate thread that would make your head spin. Although that thread grew into a classic entitled "Penny, wipe that smirk off your face you nasty c.unt)

Now, do I like Penny? Not really, not as a person at least. She was a bit too catty and bitchy for my taste and not in a Courteney Yates kinda way. But really she didn't bother that much. Most of her hatred was from the legions of ShiiAnn fans at the moment. I like ShiiAnn, but her fans here at the time were the most rabid and delusional bunch ever. Calling ShiiAnn a great strategist and whatnot.

They subsquently called Penny a racist c.unt because of her clashing with ShiiAnn, which really made my blood boil. Half of them didn't seem to realize that most of SookJai despised her, but Penny was the one who got branded a racist because she was her biggest enemy and was from the south. Some of them even called her a redneck version of Elisabeth Filarski, which is REALLY fucking ironic when you think about it.

Then All-Stars came along, and once again 75% of the cast could not stomach ShiiAnn, including fellow minority Alicia, so her fans finally STFU about the racist allegations and realized that ShiiAnn had no social skills. But by then, the damage was pretty much done.

I think Penny was actually a great character. Definitely the best female vilain since Jerri. She had all of SookJai wrapped around her finger. She gave people the impression that Jake and Ken were the leaders, but clearly she was the one calling the shots as many Sookies realized once they got booted. I actually wouldn't mind more Pennys on Survivor.
