I think a lot of their audience feels this way. I rarely enjoy Regis, I don't hate Kelly, especially when Regis is "on" or she has a co-host sharp enough for her to let loose with and show her fairly quick/wicked sense of humor. She has it, but she usually has to tone it down and defer to Regis--as it should be I guess, but she's far more enjoyable with other co hosts. Anderson would be great. I am almost never up early enough to catch this show, but if Anderson was permanent, I might have to go back to watching.

I think that some of the news anchors give me that grandfatherly feel, maybe one or two of the 60 Minutes folk... but Regis really just annoys me, and has since his morning show in LA twenty-five years ago. Larry King is just a doddering old fool.

Posts: 7974 (12/03/09 8:09 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	He usually annoys me too, and I haven't watched for several years. On occasion though, I really did enjoy him--but it was rare. However, a LOT of older people I know still want to see their Regis with their morning coffee. It's always been a light show, a few tips, a little gossip, nice to guests, a few zingers but always in a good-spirited way, and I think many people don't want much more than that first thing in the morning. He definitely set a tone for this light morning fare that people responded to.

But lately, her insipid comments seem so stupid that I can't hardly stand to listen to her anymore. And why does she keep using the word "literally"? She always uses it incorrectly. Surely someone on that show must know that and must have told her. In any case, I find that she has become equally annoying as Kathy Lee Gifford.
