YAY!
Curb Your EnthusiasmThis just in. Curb's coming back for an 8th season. Statement from Larry David himself: "After much soul searching - and by the way, it was nowhere to be found - I have decided to do another season of Curb. I look forward to the end of shooting, when I can once again resume the hunt for my elusive soul." Kudos to the fans who've stuck with Curb all these years. |

Bump for tonight. Welcome back LD. I have a feeling that this show is going to be pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty, pretty good.

I thought this episode was hilarious, just the look on Larry's face when the little girl told him she was having her first period was priceless.

Glad the show is back.
A few other lol moments, including the awkward lunch convo between Susie and Jeff about divorce that was capped by the shocked looks of the Funkhousers. |

Funkhouser's blank stare of disgust at Larry after he convinced the wife to follow him to London was killing me.
I also loved Larry giving tampon advice to a girl scout. Only on Curb. If they're moving Larry to NYC - are all of the guys going to go with him if they're single? |

The weird, and kinda hilarious, thing about this show is the way certain characters (Susie, Funkhouser) start every episode being perfectly all right and at peace with Larry's existence and invariably do a complete 180 by the end, and then reset by the next week.

see, no. he's just reaching now. it was larry trying to be 'edgy' and in fact he was just lame and unfunny and bordering on tedious. humor works better when there is at least a tiny bit of reality, and as farfetched as the tampon story was its clear that he has no women on his creative team or that they don't tell him the truth
hopefully the rest of the season will be better |

I laughed at the entire lunch conversation, including the restaurant manager busting Larry for sharing food.
I agree that the tampon scene was farfetched, but it did have that cringe type humor that makes Curb a great show. God help me if my now 8 year old daughter eventually gets her first period on my watch. |

Larry sticking the tampon in his armpit to see how it works was beyond hilarious.

krabbypatty23 wrote:Larry has always tried to be "edgy" with the show, constantly pushing the limits of what's appropriate. And what was farfetched about the tampon story? That he would inappropriately try to teach a young girl how to properly use a tampon, or that he would find a use for one later? It's certainly within the realm of possibilities, and is far more believable than a handful of other things that have happened on the show. Not only that, but it's absolutely the kind of behavior we would expect from Larry. The show is ALL about ridiculous coincidence and happenstance. Your assessment of the show comes off as someone who has only seen a few episodes. |

There is really no need to get into discussions of what is possible or not on this show anymore.krabbypatty23 wrote:Larry has always tried to be "edgy" with the show, constantly pushing the limits of what's appropriate. Really funny episode. Question though, is Cheryl off the show? I think I missed the past season or two. I get that they're getting divorced, but she was in the last episode.

I think all computers look alike.
I hated the battered woman sub plot. Once again, Larry was right at the grocery store and about the dog poo. |
