Larry has always tried to be "edgy" with the show, constantly pushing the limits of what's appropriate. And what was farfetched about the tampon story? That he would inappropriately try to teach a young girl how to properly use a tampon, or that he would find a use for one later? It's certainly within the realm of possibilities, and is far more believable than a handful of other things that have happened on the show. Not only that, but it's absolutely the kind of behavior we would expect from Larry. The show is ALL about ridiculous coincidence and happenstance. Your assessment of the show comes off as someone who has only seen a few episodes.
