He does have a accent, so I dont blame him, he aint that bad. Speaking of Dave, he gets more screentime then his cousin? Chantell is it? That sucks

That sucks Chante has been a background character for years now so it's no surprise that Dave gets more screentime than her. Chante is the modern day Hazel. I am sure she wont be back next season, she is a senior as well.

I don't know why she got upgraded to main character status in season 8 when she's been around since like season 4 and has said maybe two sentences ever. Bitch doesn't have anything on Hazel, who at least had one focus episode and a relationship with a main character. She was also way prettier. In Degrassi edgic, Hazel would probably be an UTR1 or 2 while Chante (Chantay? who fucking knows) is a pure INV. They even gave her a boring last name like "Black." I think it's funny how Emma and Manny are still in the opening credits out of necessity because they were the original "main" characters. Nine or ten episodes into the season and Emma hasn't even shown up yet, lawl. I actually like Riley more than Marco. Marco was pretty bland other than being the token gay guy. Posts: 26 (11/24/09 4:23 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts	I forgot to mention... I checked the spoilers for the rest of season nine, and it ends on cliffhanger. They're actually going through with a tenth season. This show has gone on for way too long and I bet it's because The N/Teenick doesn't want to let their only show die out. I still enjoy watching it when nothing else is on, but come on. It doesn't even take place in real time anymore. It's still like late 2007 or early 2008 (the current 12th graders are the class of 2008) because they've been doing one semester per season, and once like... all of the CURRENT main characters in high school graduate at the end of this season, nobody will be left at Degrassi except for the grade nines (i.e. Claire, Alli, Connor, KC, Jenna) while there's three sets of older characters in college who will probably keep showing up. There's too much going on now. Hopefully they pull the plug after season ten.

Nope, if Season 8 was the first semester of the year and Season 9 was the 2nd semester of the year Ania, Leia, Holly J, Sav, Blue are all juniors according to The-N.com (Chante is so useless The-N didnt even list what grade she was in). Remember the episode from last season where Holly J and Sav were preparing for college? They specifically said they were juniors not seniors. So I guess there is some serious mingling of the students. So, if the seniors all leave you will have the six niners, plus Anya, Holly J, Leia, Save, Blue, and maybe Fiona and Declan. That's plenty, I am sure they will keep someone like Jane to keep Spinner around as well. That's 15 castmembers right there.

I still look forward to the latest episodes and I find the characters to be interesting and they are doing a great job at carrying the show. Until I hate this show as much as I hate Challenges I wont say it fails.
