Marquesas: Gabe and Neleh made it to the finals together by being honest and truthful, and the jury respected Gabe's challenge strength and honestly more than Neleh's cutesiness.
Having Gabe and Neleh in the end along with other "good guys" was definitely something I would have thought about for Marquesas. I really like Gabriel and I would have enjoyed writing for his character, I think.
Thailand: Jake won after leading his tribe of young bucks to a six-four majority at the merge, Pagonging Chuay Ghan, and then taking out his tribe's women in order to go against motormouth Robb in the finals.
An interesting and kindof random Final Two. At least you'd be able to get as much out of Robb as possible throughout the whole season. That's the reason I would keep him around til the end, as well as Ghandia.
Amazon: Ryan and Shawna had an early showmance, but Ryan was able to trick the others into sticking by his side to the end, where he won for being more assertive than his girlfriend.
I find this cast to be pretty dislikable overall but I have always liked Ryan and don't think he was as bad as people made him out to be. I think he got screwed because of Daniel, and Ryan had a lot of potential to be a good character. If I were writing Amazon, I would have most likely had him around to the end also and this is definitely the perfect season for a "showmance." Ryan and Shawna would be a good one.
Pearl Islands: Christa beat Michelle via superior strategy, despite not necessarily being as nice, after the Drake tribe picked off the two outcasts: Tijuana and Jon, and immunity hog Andrew, to make the final 2.
This one took me by surprise a little. I wouldn't have personally had Michelle in the F2 - I don't think she's an interesting character enough to last that long. Christa would be a great winner though.
All-Stars: Zoe, who was a huge underdog and challenge threat in Marquesas, came back to win over sweetheart Colleen in a narrow victory, after plowing her way to the final tribal council with win after win.
That winner is certainly a surprise.
Guatemala: Surprisingly, I had almost the same exact final 6 as GF, except I had Cindy except Morgan, and Cindy made it to the end against Jamie, who wound up winning for his strong work ethic.
Glad to hear that. I know I've said it a lot lately, but Jamie is probably one of the few Survivors that I have a strong liking for so I'm glad to see him win. Nice that we had almost the same F6 too. It was a good group. Too bad the real Guatemala season gets so ignored.
Cook Islands: An early swap alliance of three older players: Jonathan, Rebecca, and Cristina, rode a wave of power to the final 3 where Jonathan scored some votes for being seen as the dominant strategist, Cristina scored some points for being a hard-working cop, but Rebecca came out on top due to four allies being on the jury, along with her positive attitude.
Lol at this one. I remember thinknig Rebecca would be a good character pre-show and that she'd actually be a strategic player. Then she got no airtime whatsoever. Hopefully you'd make her a lot more interesting.
China: While Erik made the finals and was viewed as too wishy-washy to earn himself any votes, it came down to Ashley vs. Frosti, with the win going to the former youngest player ever for making it so far and proving himself in the eyes of the older players.
Interesting final group. Glad that Frosti won. Erik sounds a little familiar. I don't know if he could ever truly "win" the game - he might not have it in him.
Micronesia: While the fans started off with big losses early, losing half their tribe in the first seven rounds, they came back as the favorites self-destructed, choosing to take each other out based on past reputations, rather than target their opponents. The fans made up the final 5 and in the final three, fan leader Joel pulled off a narrow victory over likable and loyal Jason, and strategically-minded Tracy.I think we were thinking alike for Micronesia. Joel, Jason, and Tracy were some of my best fan characters and to have them as a Final Three would have been great. A much more desirable outcome than the real show, certainly, though I hope your Joel would have been more like mine than the real show.
As for Samoa, you'll just have to wait and see.
:)
Interesting stuff, KittyPryde1!
